As reported by Xbox Era, Xbox insider Jeff Grubb has stated that 2024’s Xbox Games Showcase is rumored to feature about thirty games, amounting to about two hours’ worth of content. In addition, Grubb states that out of the thirty games being covered, supposedly about “a handful” will be brand new games never before discussed. Grubb spoke about what he’d heard regarding the showcase on the Kinda Funny Gamescast as part of their Xbox 2024 Showcase Predictions. It is unknown if the two-hour timeframe cited by Grubb includes the Call of Duty presentation by Activision, or if he is referring to the Xbox Games Showcase specifically.
Insider Teases Length and Number of Games for Xbox Games Showcase
Xbox itself has been fueling the fires of speculation as to what the showcase will contain. In April,Xbox announced that June’s Xbox Games Showcasewould feature the reveal of a new installment to a “beloved franchise.” This cryptic announcement sparked a flurry of guesses as to which franchise Xbox could mean, with fans hoping for news regarding games such asGears of War 6orState of Decay 3.
Rumor has it that the June 28, 2025, Xbox Games Showcase will contain good news forStarfieldfans as well. Supposedly, the showcase will feature atrailer and release date for the Shattered Space DLC. The Shattered Space DLC is expected to see release sometime in the Fall of 2024, though at this point fans have very little else to go on. It’s not yet known exactly what content Shattered Space will include, though it’s very possible the upcomingXbox Games Showcasewill reveal more information.
