Some users replied to this tweet with concerns regarding the lack of gameplay footage, and one shared their worries about it getting delayed. Insomniac Games mentioned that the team is makinggood progress onMarvel’s Spider-Man 2and the game is still scheduled to release in 2023. At the end, it stated that showing off games in presentations takes time, effort, and coordination.

Fans will probably not see any gameplay fromMarvel’s Spider-Man 2until the next major PlayStation Showcase event. Sony is yet to host one in 2022, so players have been left without any information on some first-party games for over a year now. A recent rumor suggested thatSony may cancel its PlayStation Showcase plansdue to the ongoing investigation into Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard King. It stated that a supposed PlayStation event will likely feature exclusive titles that may strengthen Microsoft’s case.
