Summary
Marvel Snapisn’t beholden to any sort of changes that fans may want from it, but there are features in the game that make less sense as an inclusion in general when they don’t seem to serve any significant purpose in the UI.Marvel Snapis incredibly simple and easy to learn, aided fully by the fact that default matches can be extraordinarily quick. New cards are added at an alarming rate, but the rate at which players actually earn these cards can be extremely low unless they are indulging ineachMarvel Snapseason’s battle pass, but matches themselves are still currently less inviting for destroy and discard deck archetypes.
Each match is oriented around the same formula regardless of which deck builds players have, and that should give all players an equal opportunity to perform well or perform abysmally. This is largely due to the RNG of which locations will appear during any given match, butcertain builds inMarvel Snap’s metaare always popular and can stamp out any opponent’s chances of succeeding. That said, players with decks revolving around destroy or discard builds may always be at a disadvantage while the game scores how many cards have been destroyed or discarded each match without an account of what those cards are.

Marvel Snap Needs a Detailed Mid-Match History Log
There are a few reasons why a tally of destroyed and discarded cards is problematic when the player is unable to see which cards they actually are. If a player looks away from their phone screen for a moment they might not see which card Yondu was able to destroy, for instance, orwhich card Sokovia managed to discard from their handif it flipped before the first turn started and players hadn’t had a chance to look at their hand yet.
But for players who enjoy destroy or discard decks this becomes even more troublesome. Hela will bring back all discarded cards, and therefore it doesn’t necessarily matter what they are, especially if they knowingly put Hela in their deck for herOn Reveal ability. That said, there are many instances where a player might not want a destroyed or discarded card to come back if it would land on a random location and potentially overturn their success.
If players aren’t concerned about their own destroyed or discarded decks, perhaps worrying about their opponents’ is reason enough to be able to see exactly what could still be available and in play in later turns. Players can be as attentive as they’d like and keep their own account of which cards have been destroyed or discarded on either side of the match, but sinceMarvel Snapgives a count of each it also calls for a genuine history log accounting for what these cards actually are.
Many fans have beckoned for such a feature to log every action made each turn, which would essentially let players relive the match and look back to turn one if they wanted to point out any advantages or disadvantages that could be foreshadowed in an opponent’s choices. This could be incredibly helpful, though browsing a detailed history mid-match could also require each match to be exceedingly longer and rupture the flow of the game. Still, a list of which cards were destroyed andwhich were discardedcould be a simple enough UI aid that lets players have a bit more knowledge readily available when choosing what to do with their next turn.
