Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3will continue the story of Captain Price and Task Force 141, who are currently attempting to stop their most dangerous enemy yet, Vladimir Makarov. Additionally, General Shepherd could also be plotting his own schemes considering he is still alive in the game, along with Shadow Company’s CEO, Phillip Graves, who is also back from the dead. Now, along with the game’s iconic villains, Activision is also bringing back a popularmultiplayer mode withModern Warfare 3.

The officialCall of Dutyblog revealed that the War Mode fromCall of Duty: WW2, and “evolved” versions of Invasion and Ground War, are coming toCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The Ground War multiplayer mode has objectives like Domination, where instead of a 6v6 situation, there are 32 players in each team who have to reach 250 points to win. On the other hand, Invasion features a 20v20 combat situation, where both teams consist of real and AI combatants. As for the War Mode, it features narrative-driven combat where both teams get a chance to attack and defend objectives to win. Activision has also announced that Ground War and Invasion will be played on three new Battle maps, whereas the War Mode will be played on a separate “colossal” War map.
These aren’t the only things coming back to the game as the slide cancel feature will also be available inModern Warfare 3. Furthermore, Activision is also bringing back the highly-requestedRed Dot feature to the minimaps inCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, which has been missing in theModern Warfaresubseries since its reboot in 2019. Along with this, players have also theorized that a new version of the controversial “No Russian” mission could be included inCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 3as well.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3is introducing an open-world Zombiesmode as a first for the game, where players will also be able to team up with other squads to defeat massive groups of the undead. Another exciting announcement also reveals the return of 16 classic multiplayer maps from the 2009Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, that have been enhanced while keeping their authenticity intact.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3launches on November 10 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
