Monster Hunter Riseis the latest title in Capcom’s flagship franchise centered around slaying monsters and crafting stylish armor from their corpses. TheMonster Hunterseries was confirmed to be getting some attention during today’sCapcom E3 showcase, with bothMonster Hunter RiseandMonster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruinincluded in its lineup. Today’s showcase functions as another digital event forMonster Hunter Rise, adding to its growing list of updates.
Players who have been busy in the game already have a roadmap for future content, the latest of which wasMonster Hunter Rise’s3.0 update. Last month’s update finally added a conclusion to the cliffhanger ending from the main campaign, featuring a battle between two powerful monsters. It also added Crimson Glow Valstrax and Apex Zinogre to the monster roster, along with new quests and a new arena to fight in. June promises a collaboration withMonster Hunter Stories 2and more DLC, and now gamers have a better picture of exactly what this will bring.

The crossover withMonster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruinwill not only bring the Tsukino palico layered armor set but also the Rider hunter layered armor set. These sets inMonster Hunter Risewill let players hunt in style with inspired looks based on key characters inMonster Hunter Stories 2. Also revealed is update 3.1, which includes several downloadable quests featuring different monsters. There are also some fashion items, a new emote, and paid DLC options. All content for update 3.1 will be available on June 24.
There will be five new downloadable quests in update 3.1 which will require players to face off against Almudron, Chameleos, Diablos, Tigrex, Goss Harag, and likely other monsters within those quests. For accessories, players will get the Black Leather Legs and Shadow Shades armors and the Play Possum gesture as event quest rewards, along with a Festival sticker set. PaidDLC content forMonster Hunter Risewill include extra accessories, emotes, and what looks to be a Cohoot skin that is a surprisingly lifelike baby penguin.
The upcomingMonster Hunter Riseversion 3.1 content besides paid DLC is free, but it’s a little different for the crossover content withMonster Hunter Stories 2. The palico armor modeled after Tsukino is simply an event quest reward, but the Rider layered armor set requires a player to import save data fromMonster Hunter Stories 2. There are also some release date differences. The Tsukino set will actually be available in-game June 18 before update 3.1 launches, but the Rider set won’t be accessible untilMonster Hunter Stories 2releases on July 9.
Monster Hunter Riseis available now on the Nintendo Switch with a PC port expected to launch in early 2022.
