To start, all 68 ridable Monsties fromMonster Hunter Storieshave made a return, as well as the addition of new Monsties from previous entries in theMonster Hunterseries. Altogether, there are 128 Monsties in-game for players to fight alongside, though only 81 of those are ridable Monsties. The good thing is thateach Monstie has different abilitiesin and out of combat that can be quite useful depending on the situation. Monster Hunter Stories 2players have a lot of work ahead of them, to say the least, though it pays off when it comes to the post-game content. Also, abilities and appearances aside, individual Monsties have their own exploration skills that can be performed while riding them, such as flying, climbing, or swimming.
