Based in California, Intel is a leading semiconductor manufacturer that releases new desktop CPUs on a yearly basis. While working to release its 13th generation Intel Core CPUs, Intel re-entered the GPU space with itsfirst-generation Alchemist lineup of Intel Arc GPUson June 22, 2025. The GPUs did not launch in a favorable state for gamers, since many technical issues greatly affected the overall experience in browsing, productivity tasks, and gaming. Fortunately, Intel has released many driver updates in the past two years to alleviate the many issues that players once faced in their favorite PC games. In addition, Intel is working on its second-generation Intel Arc GPUs.
According toWccftech, Twitter user @miktdt recently spotted new Intel Battlemage GPUs on SiSoftware Sandra, which tracks performance metrics and specifications for computer hardware. These leaks reveal the Xe-Core count for two unnamed Xe2-HPG GPUs that are designated as generic Intel graphics drivers. Firstly, the new Battlemage GPUs are supposedly equipped with 20 Xe-Cores (160 compute units) and 24 Xe-Cores (192 compute units) respectively. Both of the GPUs also feature a base clock of 1.8GHz, 12 GB of video memory, and 8 MB of L2 cache.
Leaked Specifications for Intel Battlemage GPUs
Performance and speed efficiency results for the 20 Xe-Core and 24 Xe-Core GPUs were listed as well. The new GPUs scored 6030.66 Mpix/s and 7231 Mpix/s respectively, according to SiSoftware Sandra. These particular Battlemage graphics cards appear to be slightly less powerful than Intel’s Alchemist GPUs, such asthe Intel Arc A750and A770. For example, the flagship Intel Arc A770 features 32 Xe-Cores and scores a higher performance rating at 11,058 Mpix/s. However, it’s worth noting that performance results for retail versions of the Battlemage GPUs will most likely be different from these early samples.
It’s possible that the leaked Battlemage GPUs could be lower-end and mid-range offerings from Intel for its second-generation Intel Arc lineup.Intel plans to release the Battlemage GPUsin the second half of 2024, but release timing is subject to change.
Intel also plans to releasenew Lunar Lake CPUson laptops and other mobile PC devices by the end of 2024. These new CPUs are rumored to feature integrated Battlemage GPUs, allowing users to enjoy video content and games in a low-profile setup.
