The returning terrors Furious Rajang and Raging Brachydios are finally loose inMonster Hunter World: Iceborneafter beingannounced during PAX Eastat the beginning of March. While their arrival was penned for today on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game, the Version 13.00 update including the monsters went live Sunday.

Veteran hunters should be all too familiar with the infamous monsters and their variant forms that are always in a more powerful, enraged state; Rajang hailing from 2006’sMonster Hunter 2and Brachydios from 2011’sMonster Hunter 3 Ultimate. The newly added monsters will “appear in new special assignments” after completing theMonster Hunter World: Iceborneexpansion’s main story and unlocking the tundra region of the Guiding Lands according to the Version 13.00 Patch Notes.

Alongside the Furious Rajang and Raging Brachydios, the third major title update forCapcom’s hugely successful action gameincludes a raised level cap for master rank armor upgrades, “an item” that forces a monster to leave the Guiding Lands, new decor and background music for the player’s room in Seliana, and more powerful charms. A whole host of bug fixes and balances to text, item management, as well as monster and player interactions are also listed in the Patch Notes.

The update will go live for PCIceborneplayers on April 9 according to theMonster HunterTwitter account. That version of the game was not released until this year, and Capcom released aroadmap for its staggered updatesmeant to bring every player up to date in January. According to that roadmap, console and PC versions will be synced following the addition of these returning variant monsters.

Once every version of theIceborneexpansion is synced up, the game will start moving toward its fourth free title update. This weekend it was announced that Monster Hunter 3’s endgameElder Dragon Alatreon will be a part of this updatecoming sometime in May.

When Furious Rajang and Raging Brachydios are added to the PC version ofIceborneon April 9, thespring-themed “Full Bloom Fest” eventwill begin. Good news forMonster Hunterfans stuck in quarantine due to the coronavirus pandemic who can look forward to plenty of content coming their way soon.
