A new Nintendo Switch Lite has been announced for release on March 20th exclusively in Japan. The new coral-colored Switch Lite will be the fourth variation available. The design is a solid pink color contrasted by white buttons, making it bright enough to attract attention but simple enough to not distract from the sleek Lite layout.

TheNintendo SwitchLite currently has grey, yellow, and turquoise available for purchase everywhere. For the new coral edition, players will have to wait until March 7th for preorder. In the official release announcement, Nintendo prices the coral edition at 19,980 yen, or about $181. Although the coral edition is exclusive to Japan for now, it is possible that it will be available worldwide in the future. Hopefully, there will be enough supply of the coral edition, as many Switch consoles have hadproduction and shipping issues due to the Coronavirus.

The Nintendo Switch has been competing with Xbox and PlayStation since its release.Sales for the Xbox and PlayStation are declining, but the Switch has not lost popularity. The Switch also made a large dent in the market with the release of the Switch Lite. Now that new colors and editions are being released for the Lite, it should have more and more traction moving forward.

The Nintendo Switch eShop will also see some new titles in the next month.A couple of NES and SNES will hit the shop at the end of February, many of which are compatible with the Lite, so there is plenty of content still available with the portable only version.
