The second of the twoXbox Games with Goldfor February 2023 is available now, asGuts ‘N GoalsreplacesAutonauts. Guts ‘N Goalswill be available through March 15, while thefirst Xbox Games with Gold title for February 2023,For the King, will remain available through February 28.
The Xbox Games with Gold program has always been a tad predictable when it comes to its monthly releases. This wasn’t too big of a deal at one point, but sinceMicrosoft quit including Xbox 360 games on Games with Gold, the rotation of two games likely means fewer eyes are on it month after month. The first title of each month is usually available from the first of the month to the end of it, while the second game comes in halfway through the month and lasts until the same period too.

Guts ‘N Goalsis an arcadey, zaney take on a soccer simulator with beat ‘em up elements. The soccer ball is not always that, sometimes being a blow-up volleyball or something else entirely instead, while sometimes using feet is not the only option.Guts ‘N Goalsalso features a plethora of heroes with different abilities, stadiums that change the core rules of the games, and a selection of random mutators to make sure no two matches are alike. There’s still time for those who have yet to claimFor The Kingto do so. It’s a classic “rise up and save the kingdom” story, but comes packed with fun features like local or online co-op. Perhaps the best way to describeFor The Kingis atabletop gamemade into a full-blown video game, packing the best of the mediums into a mystery surrounding a king’s murder.
Of course, if neither game scratches someone’s particular itch, a new title will replaceFor The Kingon March 1 and another one will replaceGuts ‘N Goalson March 16. Fans can expect Microsoft to announce these new titles in the coming weeks, as well as more announcements regarding theXbox Game Pass games for Marchtoo.
