Gavin Clayton, the creator ofDaggerfall Unity, announced that he and his contributors are working on a new game. The news comes courtesy ofan interview with Clayton published by DualShockers. Intothis newDaggerfall-style title, which has no official name as yet, Clayton said he will pour the experience of developingDaggerfall Unityfor over a decade. He also said that creating an entirely new game and a porting project likeDaggerfall Unityare different beasts, but said he would be satisfied should the new game get even a fraction of the acclaim heaped onDaggerfall Unity.
Though details about the new game are light at the moment, Clayton said that the new game is an original work in the “same vein” asThe Elder Scrolls: Daggerfall Unity. Clayton said that as a fan of such games, his new title would have a large world to explore, likeDaggerfall, and complex systems to master. Mods would also be supported,in light of the many mods already working onDaggerfallitself. Work on the game has already begun, and Clayton is scaling back his work on his IT Managed Services business, to better reallocate his time to his dream project.
