Resident Evil 4is perhapsMikami’s best game, together with the firstResident Evil. So people were pretty thrilled with his comments on social media. One user called CynicalGuy77, for instance, told Mikami that he “made history with the original” and that the remake would never have seen the light of day without his legendary work. They said that the best way to know the remake was truly excellent is to get the seal of approval from the man who directed the first game himself.
Up until recently, Shinji Mikami was working as the founder and CEO of Tango Gameworks, which just releasedHi-Fi Rush, one of the most successful games on Xbox Game Pass. However,Mikami recently announced that he would leave the company, which he founded back in 2010. At the moment, is not yet clear where Mikami is going to work next, but regardless of that, his legacy will live on in theResident Evilfranchise and in the games he created after leaving Capcom, such asThe Evil Within.
