The Devastator is a tank, meaning that its role is to help allies in the heat of battle. This class can obtain mods that allow allies to heal, while their crowd control abilities will help allies avoid taking as much damage. The Warden Class Tree allows the Devastator to increase healing done to allies, as well as increase ally shields.

The last of the Devastator’s classic tank traits is armor. The Devastator is capable of achieving a truly insane armor rating. At level 30, the Devastator can have upwards of 50,000 armor. This armor is great to help the Devastator avoid taking large amounts of damage, just like a true tank.
The Devastator can also get damage bonuses based on their armor rating. This can help them when using their abilities to further damage enemies.
