Monitoring Stand Update for Quality of Life in Palworld

One of the features that, perhaps rather infamously, putPalworldon the map is the fact that players canassign work tasks to their Pals. Each Pal has stats relating to which work tasks would best suit them. To assign a Pal to work in the base, players have to release a Pal from their Sphere, pick them up, and then toss them at the task in question. Sometimes players miss the mark, or Pals get lost on the way to a task; it’s easy to lose track of which Pal is doing what in a crowded, busy base. Pocket Pair has devised a much more elegant way to assign and monitor the (mostly) willing workers in a player’s base.

According toa screenshot shared by thePalworldcommunity managerknown as Bucky, the Monitoring Stand will receive an update in the near future that allows for players to manage base Pals. Rather than being limited to determining the work mode of the base Pals, the new Monitoring Stand will display each Pal working and which tasks they have the necessary stats for. Players will be able to determine where each Pal works by toggling tasks on and off.

The Monitoring Stand is unlocked at Level 15 in the player’s Technology tab. It takes 2 Technology points to unlock and is built with 10 Stone and 30 Wood.

Fans replied eagerly to this screenshot. Some had further suggestions to allow players to prioritize their base Pal’s tasks, rather than just toggling them off or on. It will be interesting to see if the developers consider this feedback before the release of the newMonitoring Standfeature. A good relationship between the developers and the players can be crucial to the success of a game. Pocket Pair is demonstrably interested in making base management easier, a sign that the developers care about the needs of the players.

Quality of life updates might not be as exciting as shiny new content likethe upcoming Bellanoir raid, but they can have a big impact on the game. Base management inPalworldis a significant part of the gameplay, so it’s nice to know that the developers are focused both on new content, like the raid, as well as the features that launched with the game back in January. Pocket Pair is looking toward the future, but still polishingPalworld’s past, as it were.

Players have had to temper their expectations when it comes toPalworldout of consideration of the game’s pre-release status. That said, players can also expect Pocket Pair to roll out continual updates that both add new content and polish familiar gameplay elements like base management.Palworldis scheduled to enjoy a full release sometime in 2025. By then, the game will likely look very different: there will benew Pals, new dungeons, new play modes, new items, and–as the Monitoring Stand update suggests–many quality of life improvements. Players should be encouraged by this Monitoring Stand update, since it means more tiny, but mighty fixes are on the way.
