A list of achievements for the upcoming remaster ofPersona 3 Portablehas appeared online, and it is similar to the ones used by the vanilla version ofPersona 5andPersona 4 Golden. Both games are set to release next year on multiple platforms, withPersona 3 Portablegetting its first PC release on Steam as well. With the last two releases of thePersonaseries having an achievement list, the release ofP3Pis similarly going to have one as well.
Persona 3 Portablefirst released in 2009 as an exclusive on Sony’s handheld system, the PlayStation Portable. It is an enhanced version of the originalPersona 3, which adds a number of features and condenses it all to be playable on the go. This includes aplayable female protagonist known as Kotone Shiomi, providing a different set of story events in this path as well. With the remaster only a few weeks away from launch, the achievement list has been posted online, and it is very different from the game’s original release on PSP.

This achievement list was posted on PowerPyx, where it notes thatPersona 3 Portable’s remasterwill have 36 trophies to unlock, with one Platinum, five gold, five silver, and twenty-five bronze in total. This set of trophies is much more streamlined in comparison to the PSP release, as that version had 139 trophies to unlock according to the website RetroAchievements.
The major difference is how the trophy list for the game is now more comparable to the vanilla version ofPersona 5along withPersona 4 Golden’s checklist. For example, the PSP release had separate trophies finishing the game through the male and female protagonists respectively. The remaster has this revised to a Gold Trophy that requires players to beat the game with both protagonists. Other trophies have similarly cut the fluff from the original, requiring players to max out one or all of their social links instead of rewarding an achievement for each individual character they maxed out their link with.
This means that players ofPersona 3 Portablewill at least need two playthroughs in order to completely get everything. While the original was a lengthy affair that took at least 100 hours to complete the game, the quality-of-lifeimprovements introduced inPersona 3 Portable’s remastershould help alleviate some of the tedium required. That said, there are still some achievements that are tied to some tough conditions, such as beating game’s superbosses.
Persona 3 Portableis launching on July 02, 2025 for PC, PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
