PlayStation Nowis Sony’s cloud streaming service that allows gamers access to new titles monthly. Last month, the service addedNioh,Jump Force, andStreets of Rage 4. WhilePlayStation Nowwas initially met with mixed reactions from fans, Sony’s efforts to bring quality titles to the service has seen the service become increasingly popular. On June 1, a handful of exciting new titles will be dropping to fans.

On June 1, among other titles,The Witcher 3: Wild Huntwill be coming to PS Now. Along with it, PS Now will see the arrival ofSlaythe Spire,Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown,Car Mechanic Simulator, and a handful ofSonictitles includingSonic Forces,Sonic Mania, andTeam Sonic Racing. Amongall the PS Now games added in 2021,The Witcher 3might be the biggest name yet, up there withMarvel’s AvengersandBorderlands 3that were released back in April.

WhileMay’s PS Now gamespiqued fan’s interest with an eclectic mix of offerings including souls-like games such asNiohand beat ‘em ups inStreets of Rage 4, June is slated to be even more ambitious by offering massive AAA titles likeThe Witcher 3alongside deckbuilding indies game likeSlay the Spire. The June offerings also seem to have a little bit of something for every fan, dipping into more genres than ever before.

It’s worth noting that whileVirtua Fighter 5released way back in 2006,Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdownis a completely remastered version of the game that sees its debut on June 1 along with its appearance on the PS Now service. Though theVirtua Fighterseries never attained the same kind of mainstream popularity of other arcade fighters likeStreet FighterorTekken, it has remained beloved by a niche group of fans. As a tribute to its loyal fanbase,Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown’s DLC pack, called the “Legendary Pack,” will allow players to enjoy the game with blocky graphics similar to the series’ original release on Sega platforms.

Next month’s PS Now titles are also conspicuouslySonicdense. Though bothSonic ForcesandSonic Maniawere released as part ofSonic’s 25th-anniversary celebration back in 2017, the two games were met with markedly different receptions. WhileSonic Forceswas criticized as a mediocre game,Sonic Maniaremainsone of the highest-rated Sonic titlesin recent memory. WithTeam Sonic Racingrounding out the trio, June’s PS Now aims to offer something for every Sonic fan.
