Aftergetting the National Dex, go into the Grand Underground. However, players will need to travel to the underground from various locations around Sinnoh to reach the Squirtle-spawning zones. Here are all the locations in the Grand Underground where Squirtle can appear, as well as some locations where players should use the Explorer’s Kit:

Since the Pokemon will appear in the overworld, players can run through the area to check if a Squirtle shows up. It’s pretty hard to find, but players can leave the biome and then return to keep checking if Squirtle appears.

Moves, Evolution, and Stats

OnceSquirtle evolves into Blastoiseat level 36, it can learn Iron Defense at level 42, Hydro Pump at 49, and Skull Bash at level 56. And being a Water-type, the evolutionary line for Squirtle takes a lot of damage from Electric-type moves but is resistant to Fire, Water, Ice, and Steel-type moves.

As for Squirtle’s, Wartortle’s, and Blastoise’s stats, their highest ones are defense and special defense, and they all are lacking in the speed department.

Best Natures

It’s really up to the player to decidewhat kind of nature they want Squirtleand the rest of the evolutionary line to have, but it might be best to go with something that increases its defense even further to take advantage. Relaxed nature increases defense and lowers the speed stat. However, trainers can also go with an Adamant nature, increasing attack and decreasing special attack. It all depends on what moves players are going to teach their Pokemon, and how ‘tanky’ they want the Pokemon to be.
