Summary
A creativePokemonfan has recently devised an amazing artwork depicting a fusion of Raikou and the Hisuian variant of Arcanine. ThePokemonfanbase loves to create fan art, and fusions are one of the most common ways to reimagine official creatures while coming up with a completely distinct take on them.
The Fire-type Arcanine originally appeared in the first generation ofPokemongames as the evolution of Growlithe. In 2022,Pokemon Legends: Arceusadded new variants to the franchise, and the Fire/Rock-type Hisuian Growlithe was one of them. Raikou, on the other hand, is a legendary Electric-type Pokemon that was introduced in Gen 2, and it has become a fan favorite since then.

Now, aPokemonfan called CaligoMilites has created a fusion of the Hisuian Arcanine and Raikou, sharing their work with the community. Named Raicanine, this fusion is an Electric/Rock-type creature that uses the most important characteristics of both creatures. The Pokemon combines Raikou’s long mane with Arcanine’s fur, creating a canine creature that resembles both of them. The fan art also comes with a shiny version, which has orange instead of yellow fur. CaligoMilites even invented stats for the creature, which has the Intimidate ability, and Voltabsord as a hidden ability.
Hisuian Arcanine and Raikou Fusion Pokemon Fan Art
ThePokemoncommunity loves fusions, and this is far from the first time that a fan has devised an interesting one. Earlier this month, for example, aPokemonfan fused Pikachu with Tranquill. This mixture ended up as Pikaquill, a quirky Electric/Flying-type monster, which looked like a mixture between a dove and an electric rat, maintaining characteristics such as Pikachu’s cheeks and Tranquill’s tail.
Another amazing fusion shared with thePokemoncommunity recently was aTogekiss and Chandelure fusion. This fan art was very interesting, as it maintained most of Togekiss’ body shape, but it added Chandelure’s primary colors and face, looking like a somewhat spheric butterfly.
Even when not being used in fusions, the two creatures used in CaligoMilites’ fan art are also popular with fans. For instance, another artist devisedbaby forms for Raikoua few months ago. The baby Raikou looked adorable, resembling a small puppy with Raikou’s overall design, and it was coupled with a baby version of Suicune. Hopefully, fans will keep drawing even more amazingPokemon-inspired artworks and share them with the community, especially after the next game in the series,Pokemon Legends: Z-A, is finally released next year.
