Pokemon GOhas come a long way since its 2016 debut. The popular augmented reality mobile game started off with the original 151 Pokemon, but it has since expanded to include Pokemon from nearly every generation. Niantic still adds new Pokemon toPokemon GOon a regular basis, and now the Electric/Fairy-type Pokemon Dedenne will be making its debut in the game.
Niantic recently pulled the curtain back on its Festival of Lights event that it has planned for the month of November. One of the highlights of this event is the debut of Dedenne, which will be making its debut inPokemon GOon November 5 when the event kicks off. Dedenne will remain inPokemon GOindefinitely, but it seems that players will find it much easier to actually catch one while theFestival of Lights eventis live.

When thePokemon GOFestival of Lights event starts, Dedenne will begin appearing more frequently in the wild. The Pokemon will also be available as a Field Research reward, though it will supposedly be fairly rare forPokemon GOTrainers to get one through that method. Besides catching Dedenne out in the wild or as aField Research reward,Pokemon GOplayers will also have the chance to battle Dedenne in 1-star Raids.
With Dedenne set to be one of the most common Pokemon in the wild throughout November 2021, it shouldn’t be all that difficult forPokemon GOplayersaround the world to catch it. However, those in India will have even more opportunities to catch Dedenne, as there will be a special India-exclusive event called “A Celebration in India” that will take place from Sunday, November 7 at 4:00pm local time until 7:00pm local time. While the event is active,Pokemon GOplayers in India will be able to enjoy double Candy for catching Pokemon as well as more frequent encounters with both Dedenne and Blitzle.
Pokemon GOis celebrating the arrival of Dedenne in other ways as well. There will be Dedenne-inspired items available to purchase in thePokemon GOitem shop, and players will also be able to grow their sticker collection with Dedenne-themed stickers. As usual, the Dedenne-themed stickers will be available from spinningPokemon GOPokeStop discs, opening Gifts from friends, or purchasing them with coins.
The arrival of Dedenne inPokemon GOmarks yet anotherKalos region Pokemonfor the game, and should help players get a little closer to completing their Pokedexes. There are still many Pokemon that have yet to debut inPokemon GO, and it will be interesting to see when everyone else makes the jump to the game.
