Pokemon GOplayers have had a lot on their plate recently. Coming fresh off of the Kanto Tour make-up event and last week’s Fletchling community day,the Season of Legendshas officially started in the game. The new season has already brought players increased Rock and Steel-type spawns, the Forces of Nature trio in their Incarnate Formes, the addition of Shiny Nosepass, and an upcoming Psychic and Steel-type Incense Day.

Additionally,Pokemon GOwill be having its first ever Electric-type-themed event, featuring the addition of the 5th generation Pokemon Tynamo, as well as Therian Forme Thundurus in five-star Raids and Mega Manectric in Mega Raids. And while players already have a lot to look forward to in the coming weeks, a new datamine suggests that there may be even more coming their way very soon.

In addition to a plethora of other features and changes coming toPokemon GO, it seems that the game will be getting its first new Lure since 2019 with the Rainy Lure. Going off of its name, it’s likely that the Rainy Lure will primarily attract Water-type Pokemon, possibly along with Bug and Electric-types as well, since those are the types of Pokemon that receivein-game weather boostsduring rainy weather.

Back in 2019,Pokemon GOintroduced the Glacial, Mossy, and Magnetic Lures to the game, not only attracting Pokemon of certain types, but also as a way to evolve Pokemon like Eevee into Glaceon and Leafeon, Nosepass into Probopass, and Magneton into Magnezone. Now thatthe 6th generation of Pokemonhas made its way intoPokemon GO, many suspect that the Rainy Lure could be used to evolve Sliggoo into Goodra, which originally required the Pokemon to reach level 50 while in rainy weather to evolve in thePokemon XandYgames. Another change found in the game’s most recent datamine shows that notifications for quests tied to leveling up will now appear on the left-side of the screen, as opposed to the right-side like with all other quests.

In addition to a recently-announced Referral program complete with rewards, information on a new Route Maker feature was found. This feature appears to be similar to the Mission feature inNiantic’s first AR mobile gameIngress, that allows players to create their own quest-styled mini games revolving around visiting certain real-life POI’s. It also looks like players will be able to create and participate in Routes to receive certain rewards as well.

SincePokemon GOfound its footing, the game has released a constant flurry of new content and events for players to enjoy, evenfrom the comfort of their own homesduring lockdown and quarantine orders due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However fans decide to safely playPokemon GO, it’s clear that they have a lot to look forward to in the coming weeks.
