Pokemon GO: What Is PokeStop Showcases Competition And Its Rewards
ThePokemon GO7th Anniversary Party featured the first-ever PokeStop Showcases feature. This event also allowed players to acquire Shiny Mew via theAll-in-One #151 Masterwork Research quest. Talking about the PokeStop Showcases, this competition has the potential to become a regular feature in the game.
The first-ever PokeStop Showcases competition allowed Squirtle to enter select PokeStops, and compare their sizes. These Showcases have a limited duration, and once they conclude, participants receive rewards based on their Pokemon’s rank.
Pokemon GOPokeStopshosting Showcases are marked with a unique icon. When the icon is green, players can tap on the PokeStop and select “Showcase” to enter their Pokemon. Once a monster enters, the icon turns purple. Trainers can only enter a fighter into a Showcase when they are physically near the PokeStop. Switching the Pokemon in the Showcase remotely is possible, and there is also a Leaderboard on PokeStop’s Showcase page where players can check the rankings.
After the Showcase ends, all participants will receive rewards, including Stardust, XP, and other prizes. The top three trainers can earn rewards such as an Incubator, a Star Piece, and more. The first place will receivePokemon GOStardust, Great Balls, Hyper Potions, and Showcase Star medals. These rewards are accessible through the Today View or the specific Showcase PokeStop. If there are unclaimed rewards, the Showcase icon in the PokeStop turns orange.

Each PokeStop Showcase can hold up to 50 Pocket Monsters, with each monster restricted to being featured only once at a time. Also, even after entering the Pokemon into a Showcase,trainers can still trade, transfer, change form, or evolve it.
