Pokemon GOis hosting its Evolving Stars Event from Wednesday October 5th to Tuesday October 11th and will be themed both around the ongoing Season of Light as well as the idea of evolution. The Evolving Stars Event is an exciting time for players because it will include a new Pokemon that is making itsPokemon GOdebut - Cosmoem.

Now, with the Evolving Stars Event, Cosmog’s evolution, Cosmoem, takes center stage. Trainers will be able to evolve Cosmog into Cosmoem by using 25 Cosmog Candy. However,Pokemon GOalso reassures players that they will be able to catch more Cosmog in the future, so they need not worry about evolving their only one into Cosmoem. From 2 PM to 5 PM on Saturday October 8th during the Event, players will enjoy the following Raid Day bonuses: Mega Gyarados will appear more frequently in raids, players can receive up to five additional Raid Passes by spinning Photo Discs at Gyms, and players will have an increased chance of encountering Shiny Gyarados.Players enjoyPokemon GO’s raidsand are always looking for more perks and benefits for participating in them.
In addition, players can enjoy a higher rate of encountering the following Pokemon: Kakuna, Pidgeotto, Poliwhirl, Kadabra, Haunter, Rhyhorn, Seadra, Scyther, Eevee, Swinub, Ralts, Duskull, Tynamo, Litwick, and Helioptile. One-star raids will include Slowpoke, Onix, Scyther, Porygon, and Sunkern. Three-star raids will have Magneton, Rhydon, Togetic, and Piloswine. Five-star raids will be Xerneas and Yveltal. Finally, Mega Raids will comprise of Mega Manectric and Mega Lopunny.
The final parts of the Event include 4 unique evolution-related challenges that players can complete in order to receive evolution items. Also, there will be an Evolution Cup. Pokemon must be at or below 1,500 CP to enter. Also, only Pokemon that have evolved at least once and can evolve again will be eligible.
