Pokemon Legends: Arceuscontains a wide variety of interesting quests to complete and plenty of items and Pokemon to find when exploring the Hisui region. Among those quests is Request 22, “Eerie Apparitions in the Night,” which requires players to hunt down 107 wisps found throughout the region. OnePokemon Legends: Arceusplayer has recently shared a helpful detail about how wisps appear in the game that could save gamers a lot of time and trouble.
“Eerie Apparitions in the Night” begins with a short cutscene introducing players to Vessa, a mysterious younggirl found in Jubilife Village. Vessa will tell them about a seal that was recently broken, releasing 107 wisps, and ask the player to collect them. She will give them the Odd Keystone item to allow them to collect the wisps.

There are wisps hidden all over the Hisui region, but being tiny spirits, they can be quite difficult to find. Fortunately, Redditor VisualTick has discovered a neat trick that makes completing the mission much easier. Apparently, wisps are visible from a very long distance at night. Though they flicker in and out of existence quickly, an observant player will have a much simpler time trackingthe locations of wispswhen in the dark, making the Request significantly easier.
According to VisualTick, this is very important to keep in mind because wisps are only visible from a few feet away. However, gamers can spot them from across the whole map if it’s dark out, which means that it’s a much better idea to search for wisps at night. This may be fitting, as “Eerie Apparitions in the Night” culminates inan encounter with Spiritomb. Additionally, knowing how the wisp visibility mechanics work may help players realize that they aren’t as inconsistent as they may seem at first glance. The mission appears to place an emphasis on atmosphere, subdued creepiness, and the sense that things aren’t quite what they seem.
As of writing, it appears that many other fans find VisualTick’s advice helpful. One user noted that they hadn’t realized wisps were visible in the day at all, while several others shared stories of how difficult it was to trigger wisps during daylight. A second user stated that they’d assumed wisps would only come out at night, much like thewild Ghost-type Pokemonfound in the game. Another group of users agreed that placing stickers was an excellent way to remind themselves of whether they’d collected specific wisps already or not.
