Summary
Starting in early November,Pokemon Scarlet and Violetplayers will have the chance to face Hisuian Typhlosion the Unrivaled in the next batch of seven-star Tera raid battles coming to the game. The arrival of Hisuian Typhlosion inPokemon Scarlet and Violetfollows the pattern of past Starter Pokemon in their final forms appearing as Tera raid bosses for players to battle and catch.
Known as the Ghost Flame Pokemon, Hisuian Typhlosion is the final evolution of Cyndaquil which was originally exclusive toPokemon Legends: Arceus. Unlike its Johtonian counterpart, which is a pure Fire-type, Hisuian Typhlosion is a Ghost and Fire dual-type. However, the Ghost Flame Pokemon has similar special attack and speed statistics to the original. When theoriginal Typhlosion was a Tera raid boss in April 2023, it had the Ghost-type as its Tera type to serve as a callback to the Hisuian Typhlosion. In a role reversal, Hisuian Typhlosion will have the Fire-Tera type, which will make some of its attacks more troublesome to deal with. Pokemon trainers eager to take on Hisuian Typhlosion will not have to wait too much longer, as the battle begins shortly after another Ghost-type Pokemon leaves the spotlight.

The battle against Hisuian Typhlosion the Unrivaled just two days after the conclusion ofthe ongoing Mismagius Halloween Tera raidsinPokemon Scarlet and Violet. The event begins on Thursday, November 2, at 8:00 p.m. Eastern, and concludes on Sunday, November 5, at 7:59 p.m. Eastern. However,Pokemon Scarlet and Violetplayers who miss out on facing Hisuian Typhlosion on that weekend will have another chance the following week, from November 9 to November 12 at the same start and end times.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Seven-Star Tera Raid Against Typhlosion
Similar tothe Hisuian Deciduye Tera raids, Hisuian Typhlosion will have the Mightiest Mark upon defeating it. As a special attacker, Hisuian Typhlosion’s signature move is Infernal Parade, which has a chance to Burn the target, and deals double damage to targets afflicted by a status condition. Plus, its Tera type will make Fire-type attacks such as Flamethrower, Eruption, and Fire Blast hit much harder. Hisuian Typhlosion is also capable of moves such as Low Kick, Focus Blast, Sunny Day, and Solar Beam for type coverage. However, its Hidden Ability Frisk is completely useless in a Tera raid battle, soPokemon Scarlet and Violetplayers can safely ignore it.
Though it may be one of thehardest Tera raid battles inPokemon Scarlet and Violetto date, trainers that bring Pokemon such as Politoed, Blissey, Umbreon, or Walking Wake should be able to take down the Ghost Flame Pokemon. Only time will tell how the battle will play out.
