Pokemon Scarlet and Violetare coming out on November 18 of this year, and they will release roughly three years afterPokemon Sword and Shield’s debut, not counting expansions. In the time that passed between whenPokemon Scarlet and Violetwere first revealed and now, The Pokemon Company has only released one trailer at the beginning of June and then went radio silent. There is an official website for Generation 9 games, but it too hasn’t been updated since the June trailer, leaving many fans eager to know more about the various Pokemon found in the upcoming games.
Recently, several allegedPokemon Scarlet and Violetleaks started surfacing online, with Riddler Khu being one of the most prominent voices in the scene due to their proven track record. Khu leaked things likePokemon Scarlet and Violet’s starters' type combinationsand what players can expect in terms of appearance for the evolutions of Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly. Throughout the months leading to July, Khu also revealed other Pokemon species from Generation 9, albeit through riddles and hints.

Today, Khu revealed that there will be three Pokemon species with a basic pocket monster being a puppy, one of which is also a Ghost-type creature. It’s unclear whether these puppy Pokemon will evolve and what they could look like, but apart from Hisuian Zorua, which is actually based on a fox, there are currently noGhost-type creaturesthat look like dogs, wolf cubs, or other similar species. Khu stated that morePokemon Scarlet and Violetleaks will come in the next few days, possibly hinting at the so-called “Regional Fakes” and other evolution lines.
Other hints from Khu’s posts today include pseudo-Legendary Pokemon, which are usually very strong pocket monsters with high stats and powerful moves or abilities. According to the leaker,Pokemon Scarlet and Violetwill allegedly have onepseudo-Legendary Pokemonwith a past form and one with a future form, which could be Tyranitar and Salamence due to their respective basic creatures appearing in the June trailer. Also, Khu stated that two different pocket monsters will have both a past and a future form, which is likely to happen for very popular critters such as Pikachu or Charizard, but it remains speculation at this stage.
Another leaker has entered the scene in the past week with information that Khu later confirmed to be true, and that includesPokemon Scarlet and Violet’s battle gimmickas well as the various Gym Leaders in the games. This source also stated that Pokemon like Murkrow, Dunsparce, and others will receive cross-generation evolutions, but this remains to be seen. Still, new Pokemon are likely to show up in pictures or written leaks over the next week, and it’s also possible that The Pokemon Company will release a trailer soon.
