But there’s a discrepancy between Iron Valiant and what its origin suggests. Mistakes were made, but it’s hard to tell if the error is on the part ofPokemon Scarlet and Violetor on the mad scientist that created Iron Valiant.
Iron Valiant is a strong offensive Generation 9 Pokemon. As a paradox Pokemon, its Fairy/Fighting-type has an advantage on Dark, Normal, Ice, Rock, Fighting, Dragon' and Steel. Besides being super effective against seven types and resistant to many others, Iron Valiant’s stats cement it as a powerful, aggressive Pokemonthat hits hard and fast, accurate to its lore as a fighting machine. Its highest stats are attack, special attack, and speed.Players can find Iron Valiant in Area Zeroafter defeating the elite four and becoming Champion Rank.

The backgroundPokemonScarlet and Violetwrote for Iron Valiant, described as information retrieved from a suspicious magazine, theorizes that this Pokemon isn’t alive at all, but a robot. The robot was created by a mad scientist whose goal was to make the most powerful Psychic Pokemon. If that’s so, then it’s a big error that Iron Valiant’s type is Fairy/Fighting and not Psychic. The mad scientist attempted to create the most powerful Psychic bycombining the Psychic/Fighting-type Gallade with a Gardevoir, a Psychic/Fairy-type. The scientist’s big mistake was that he made a powerful hybrid of the Pokemon’s secondary types by accident.
Iron Valiant has Gardevoir’s hair and dress, as well as Gallade’s horn and arm blades, and it also has no mercy. With how merciless and powerful it’s described as being, Iron Valiant could haveturned on its creator like Mewtwo, as a final ironic twist after the mad doctor failed to create the Psychic-type they desperately desired. While the scientist didn’t make the most powerful Psychic, they did create a truly menacing Pokemon.
At first glance when reading the background, it appears as though the people writing made a mistake and that Iron Valiant’s type was supposed to be Psychic, or the scientist should have been trying to make a Fairy/Fighting-type. But Iron Valiant being a failed experiment that’s now out on the loose and attacking everything it sees is all in flavor and makes for an interestingFrankenstein story inPokemon Scarlet and Violet.
