The Pokemon Company released a newPokemon Unitetrailer that reveals the full move set forLegendary Pokemon Ho-Oh from the Johto region. Firstly, Ho-Oh is a ranged defender with a difficulty level of novice, so newPokemon Uniteplayers shouldn’t have much trouble getting used to the Pokemon’s move set. Ho-Oh has a special healing ability called Regenerator, which gradually recovers HP if the Pokemon doesn’t receive damage for a set amount of time. Ho-Oh’s Fly ability allows the Pokemon to move freely over walls while increasing their movement speed and attack, granting three boosted attacks, and dealing damage to nearby opposing Pokemon after touching down. Further, the Fire Spin ability generates a flaming vortex around Ho-Oh, dealing damage and applying a slowing effect to nearby opponents. Fire Spin also grants a temporary shield that emits a heat wave around Ho-Oh that deals additional damage inside the vortex.

Pokemon Unite Trailer Reveals the Move Set for Ho-Oh

Taking cues fromHo-Oh’s Incinerate ability inPokemon GO, the Pokemon’s Flamethrower ability lets the user spread flames toward opposing Pokemon, lowering the damage values of their attacks and special attacks. The cooldown duration will be increased if the user prolongs the use of Ho-Oh’s Flamethrower, and Pokemon that are burned by the ability will receive a debuff to their movement speed. Burned Pokemon will also leave a scorching trail that damages other opposing Pokemon and lowers their movement speed as well.

Similarly to Fly, the Sky Attack ability sends Ho-Oh soaring through the air. Sky Attack leaves a scorching trail just like the Flamethrower ability, damaging enemies and applying a slowing effect to them. Moreover, Ho-Oh features a useful Unite Attack called Rekindling Flame, which revives nearby fallen Pokemon by spreading feathers and consuming Aeos energy.

With Ho-Oh joining the fray,Pokemon Unite’sthird anniversary updatewill surely shake up the in-game meta.Pokemon Unitereceives new events and updates nearly every month, so players can expect more new Pokemon at a later date.
