Summary

Upon theofficial 1.0 releaseofReady or Not, players can find an arsenal of shotguns, with 5 of them available to use.Ready or Notcan be a rough experience to those unfamiliar with the tactical shooter genre, or for those who fail to check their back, front, and sides. However, a shotgun might make things a little easier, as, despite their lack of fire rate and range, their powerful shots can easily take out those enemies that simply won’t surrender or back down.

With 4 lethal shotguns and one non-lethal shotgun, players might be asking what the best weapon is inReady or Not, and which one they can bring intoeach missionto ensure that they will come out alive with an efficient grade that doesn’t involve them killing anything and anyone that moves.

beanbag shotgun

5Beanbag Shotgun

Non-Lethal & Immobilizing

This less lethal shotgun fires powerful 12GA beanbag rounds that immobilize suspects on impact.

The Beanbag shotgun is a good weapon for those who want to try and do things without blood on their hands since it can be used as a non-lethal weapon. However, that does not mean that the beanbag shotgun cannot be lethal, as excessive use of the weapon on the same target, or even a headshot, can spell fatal. This means that players need to use this weapon carefully. What makes the beanbag shotgun the worst of the shotguns is that it doesn’t have the best stopping power, and it can be a tad annoying to fire a shot, only for a hostile to not evenget stunned, leading to the player’s demise just for trying to bring in hostiles alive.

supernova shotgun

4Supernova

Lightweight & Ergonomic

A pump-action shotgun from Italy. The supernova makes extensive use of polymer, making it very lightweight and easy to handle.

Whilst the supernova may feature a lightweight design that is more friendly to use for shotgun wielders, it suffers from a surprisingly long reload, which makes manyshootout situations with hostiles a burden, especially if players miss their shots or the damage drop-off from far away doesn’t provide the desired effect. The supernova is not a bad shotgun, and it’s a popular pick, especially thanks to how easy it is to handle.

b1301 shotgun

3B1301

Reduced Muzzle Climb

A sturdy tactical shotgun hailing from Italy. Its unique bolt design reduces muzzle climb compared to its counterparts.

Like all shotguns, the B1301 is capable of a high chance to incapacitate enemies from pain rather than cause instant death, and perhaps lose players their precious score at the end of the mission. Yet, the B1301 has an advantage thanks to its reduced muzzle climb. With a very capable ammo count of 9, the B1301 is certainly worth checking out, especially sinceplayers can experimentwith a scope, muzzle, and overbarrel attachment.

870cqb shotgun

2870 CQB

Slow Firing, Hard Hitting

Iconic pump action shotgun found in police cruisers across the world.

The 870 CQB is seen as a true workhorse thanks to its attachment capability, where players can use a scope, muzzle, and overbarrel inthis tactical shooter. Not only do the attachments make the 870 CQB great, but each shot will be an effective blast of pain if players actually manage to hit their shot. Players can easily take out opponents in one shot if they are not wearing armor, and even with the strongest plate of ceramic, only 4 shots are needed totake an enemy out. However, despite the hard-hitting shotgun, the slow fire rate will divide some players, especially with how quick the reflexes are of those trigger-happy villains.

m1014 shotgun

1M1014

Reliable & Fast Firing

This gas powered combat shotgun is widely considered the best of its breed.

The M1014 is certainly a shotgun worth bragging about, claiming the spot of not only the best shotgun inReady or Notbut one of the best guns in the entire game. Players should definitely wield this shotgun at least once if they are in the mood for some close-quarter combat, due to the fact that it is regarded as reliable and fast firing, with the choice of scopes, muzzles, and overbarrels to mod the weapon into further advantages.
