Red Dead Redemption 2has done a good job bringing new fans to the series. However, given the storyline ofRed Dead Redemption 2takes place well before the events of the originalRed Dead Redemption, it has the potential to make new players less appreciative of the first entry. That doesn’t mean that fans of the first game don’t exist, and one such fan has shown their appreciation in an impressive way.

A key feature present in bothRed Deadentries is fashion. While the originalRed Dead Redemptiononly had preset outfits for players to choose from,Red Dead 2possesses a multifaceted, customizable clothing feature. This has allowed players to customize theirRed Dead Onlinecharacters in a variety of ways, such as one user making an accurate recreation ofCJ fromGTA: San AndreasinRed Dead Online. However, this project goes a step above in terms of character recreations.

A Reddit user named No_Interaction4027 has faithfully recreated everyJohn Marstonoutfit from the originalRed Dead Redemption. From Marston’s regular cowboy look to the Duster Coat, the user even recreated the Legend of the West outfit. However, due to some limitations regardingRed Dead 2’sclothing customization, there are missing outfits.

The most obvious is the Mexican Poncho outfit, given there’s no such poncho inRed Dead 2. The other outfits are unlocked viaUndead Nightmare, and considering there’s no follow-up to the zombie DLC campaign from the originalRed Dead, none of those outfits can be recreated either. Even so, the user managed to recreate a significant amount of different looks.

Considering the number ofmods forRed Dead Redemption 2currently in circulation, there are likely ways to get alternate clothing options available to recreate the full outfit sets fromRed Dead Redemption. With any luck, those kinds of mods will be available at some point in the future, considering how many extensive and detailed ones have released forRed Dead 2already.

It will be interesting to see what the future ofRed Dead Redemption 2will be. Given most of Rockstar Games' attention has been placed onRed Dead Online, it seems unlikely a full-lengthRed Deadentry will release anytime soon. However, given the series' revitalized popularity following the release ofRed Dead Redemption 2, it’s possible that Rockstar will do more in the years to come.

Red Dead Redemption 2is available now on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
