Whereas other farming simulation games where players majorly focus on tending to their farm and building relationships with fellow villages,Rune Factory 5gives farming sim a unique RPG treatment. As with otherRune Factorygames,Rune Factory 5gameplay will have players not only tend to their farm but even help protect the town from various threats such as monsters.

In the game’s story, this is explained with the player’s membership within SEED, a group of rangers within the small town of Rigbarth, and their task of maintaining a farm to help provide supplies to the village. For players who want to optimize their monster-hunting gameplay, they may want to find ways of obtaining resources more efficiently. And thankfully enough, there may be ways to exploit theRune Factorygame to obtain infinite Gold, Lumber, and Stone.

On The Nature Of Gold, Lumber, And Stone

As with other farming simulators, it’s important to consider that even an RPG-esque farming sim likeRune Factory 5needs players to gather a steady stream of resourcesin order to maximize their farm’s growth. Some of the most common materials players may need are Gold, Lumber, and Stone - all of which have different uses and equally tiring ways of farming for them. This is what makes an infinite trick much more relevant for players who want to jump into the endgame rather quickly. Here’s a quick rundown on these items:

Gold: The Currency, Not The Mined Item

Of all the items players can acquire inRune Factory 5gameplay, it’sGoldthat has a double meaning. At its core, Gold may primarily pertain to the ore and mineral players can acquire. Unlike “Special Rarity” ores like Amethysts and Rubies used to craftRune Factory 5weapons, Gold is instead more on the “middle” side of things, as it’s much rarer than Bronze and Silver but not as difficult to obtain as the other ores.

However, the other use of Gold is the currency. Gold or G is also the term used to pertain to currency players ofRune Factory 5can acquire as they accomplish various tasks in the game. While easy to obtain, the more expensive items and upgrades in the game can definitely stump players aiming to get to the game’s latter stages quickly.

Stone: Not As Basic As Everyone Thought

Players used to the idea of playing farming sims might findStonesquite an expected material in theirRune Factory 5gameplay. However, unlike other farming sims where Stone remains a “basic” material, Stones inRune Factory 5gameplaycome in many variants, each of which have specific drops points and drop sources.

Stones include variants such as the Round Stone, Tiny Golem Stone, Golem Stone, Golem Spirit Stone, Golem Tablet, and Tablet of Truth. As with Gold, these various Stone variants are majorly used for crafting various items. Not having a particular kind of Stone can vastly ruin a player’s approach in their pursuit of theRune Factory 5endgame.

Lumber: Common But Annoying To Farm

As with most farming sims, players need a kind of wood to work with when building most of their game’s structures and resources. Such is also the case withRune Factory 5, withLumberbeing considered the primary building material in the game - similar tohow common certainRune Factory 5monstersare.

While Lumber is much easier to acquire compared to Gold and Stone, where Lumber is simply made from cutting down trees, players can find this resource considerably harder to gather once they have to proceed with their Level 3 structure upgrades.

Infinite Gold: The Throwing Hack

Similar to other farming sims, players ofRune Factory 5can also befriend and even form relationships with various NPCsin their journey in Rigbarth. Unlike other sims, however, the RPG component ofRune Factory 5allows players to bring these NPCs to battle with them. Through their help, players may be able to defeat many of the game’s more difficult bosses. However, this is also one of the best ways of accessing one of the game’s best “hacks” - acquiring infinite Gold.

The Gold Hack: No Need For Cheats, Just Combat

Unlike other “hacks” where games often need players to do some tinkering to attain items, this Gold hack inRune Factory 5relies instead on a fundamental aspect of NPC behavior: aiding in combat. At its core, players in combat with an NPC will have the NPC throw items like Food to players should their HP fall on certain levels. While players can just get them and eat them for that HP boost, players are better off just gathering those items and selling them for Gold.

A good example of this is the chefElsje, which players can befriend and bring in combat. As with other NPCs, Elsje also throws Food at players once they’re in danger. However, when players roam in combat for long enough, Elsje might end up throwingRoyal Curry, which can be sold for a whopping 500,000G a piece. While waiting for her to drop this can take time, the fact that players can get at least 500,000G in one go by simply running around in combat is significantly faster than conventional methods.

Infinite Stone And Lumber: To Cut But With Reservations

As with other farming sims,Rune Factory 5allows players to clear the fieldof various debris in order to have more space for their ideal farm layout. And as expected, these items and accessories will eventually regenerate with enough time, unless players actually put items in these locations. However, it’s within this regeneration mechanic that players have a shot at attaining as much Stones and Lumber as they want.

The Stone And Lumber Hack: The Rule Of 8

Compared to other hacks that involve tinkering with the core game,Rune Factory 5players can simply just exploit the game’sitem regeneration mechanic to get as much Stone and Lumber they want. This simply rests with the mechanic surrounding trees and rocks. Remember, trees and rocks have to constantly regenerate as these have common items such as Lumber that players need to regularly acquire.

However, this logic also applies to the more difficult items in the player’s agenda. When players befriend their first Farm Dragon, players can now do something called the Rule of Eight (8). At its core, this simply means that players can have supply items such as treestumps and rocks constantly give players Lumber and Rocks, as long as they’re not completely destroyed. Obliterating these items usually need nine (9) hits on the part of the player until they completely break or disappear. In turn, players simply need to hit every stump and rock they see for about eight (8) times, gather the items they drop, leave the area, and come back for a fresh stock.
