The previousSaints Rowgames were characterized by their bombastic humor, chaotic action, and larger-than-life characters. While Volition and Deep Silver’s reboot will be keeping some of these key franchise elements, the upcomingSaints Rowwill be a much more grounded game. Fans don’t have that long to wait to see how the new and (hopefully) improvedSaints Rowwill turn out, but Volition has also revealed plenty of intriguing details ahead of the game’s impending launch.

The nextSaints Rowwill move the action to the brand-new locationof Santo Ileso, which is loosely inspired by the city of Las Vegas. Players will need to take over the city’s districts and defeat the various gangs that currently control them as they attempt to create their own criminal empire. The player’s Boss will form their own gang, mostly from ex-members of rival groups like Los Panteros, the Idols, and Marshall Defense Industries. Among the new crew are a number of main characters that will help players with their mission, including getaway driver Neenah, entrepreneur Eli, and DJ Kevin.

Introducing Kevin

Eachfounding member of the Boss' crewhas their own unique personality and skillset. Neenah is the driver and mechanic with knowledge of Los Panteros, Eli is the smart one with an MBA under his belt who handles the group’s planning and business needs, and Kevin is the music-loving adrenaline junkie who helps put the team’s heists into motion. Like the other main characters, Kevin hasn’t had it easy. He grew up without parents and had to navigate the foster care system, and developed a personality that’s desperate to please as a result.

Kevin also has a passion for cooking – something else he picked up during his time in foster homes as a way to ingratiate himself with people. He’s intensely loyal and should prove to be a very valuable member of the crew, for his delicious chilli con carne, if nothing else. Kevin also represents a great step forward forrepresentation in the upcomingSaints Row, as he’s both pansexual and polyamorous. Kevin seems like the right companion to help players out of a tight spot, with his seemingly endless connections, willingness to throw himself into any adventure, and unquestionable dedication to his friends.

A DJ With A Penchant For Partying

From the first announcement trailer, players can see that Kevin is the comic relief of the crew, with his thrill-seeking stunts and irreverent humor. As anotorious DJ and Santo Ileso local, Kevin knows everyone worth knowing and is a former member of The Idols – an anarchist cult full of party-loving people. He joined The Idols when they were just starting out and building up, and enjoyed their chaotic approach to recruitment and their increasingly crazy stunts. His rap sheet includes a variety of offenses like vandalism, damage to county building property, and public order offenses, showing his disregard for authority and appreciation of a prank.

However, he started to become disillusioned with the gang after the leadership started to live a life of luxury while the other members had to live in communes. After being asked to choose between The Idols and his friends, Kevin demonstrated his loyal nature by sticking by his friends.Just like Eli and Neenah, Kevin startsSaints Rowas one of the player character’s roommates and then works together with the group of misfits to help the protagonist build up their reputation as Santo Ileso’s most notorious crime boss and start the iconic gang The Saints.

Saints Rowis set to release on May 17, 2025, on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
