Fans have been finding creative ways to solve some of the side activities inSaints Row, and one in particular can give players a leg up on the Terminal Velocity challenge. Since its reveal back in 2021, theSaints Rowreboot from Volition has seen plenty of controversy. While many unfairly criticized the game’s visual style following its announcement trailer, things slowly turned around following the release of new trailers as well as the game’s extensive customization tool, letting folks have a chance to create their ideal boss character well before the game launched.
While thelaunch version ofSaints Rowmay have had a variety of issues, the game does manage to bring back a lot of the wild side hustles fans of the franchise have come to expect. This includes things like Insurance Fraud, where the player attempts to get hit by cars in a specific time limit to essentially earn money from having insurance, to more traditional things like racing or delivering various items to individuals. Players can also take on challenges, which not only lead to achievements and trophies, but are essential to unlock all 34 perks insideSaints Row.

Some of these challenges are fairly simple, like buying a hat or driving a certain distance. However, some require a little patience or perhaps a location that makes finishing it much easier than intended. One such challenge called Terminal Velocity tasks players with getting airtime in a vehicle when driving through theLakeshore North section of Santo Ileso. OneSaints RowsubReddit user named OddToddLeather showed off an easy way to cheese this by using fire hydrants in the area.
The shortSaints Rowclip shows their small car essentially being propelled upwards by the force of the water from the fire hydrant. Essentially, players should slowly approach and drive over it, while holding the drift button. OddToddLeather indicated that with a small and light car, players can get about 29 seconds per hydrant and even get some flips and rolls as well.
While comments appreciated the handy tip, another user named rebillihp also mentioned that using a car with the jump ability also counts as long as it stays in place. While the time earned is much shorter than using the hydrant, it doesn’t require the player to line up a hydrant or driving to find a new one each time, so players can quickly earn time much faster rate.
Naturally, the car physics inSaints Rowtend to be more on the unrealistic side, letting players perform some truly outrageous moves, especially with cars that have unique signature abilities. There’s also something for everyone asSaints Rowhas a wide range of interesting vehiclesfrom tanks, classic cars, Monster Trucks, Speedsters, and nearly everything in between.
Saints Rowis currently available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
