Samurai Jack is back and many have been intrigued by anaction-packed trailerthat showcased the game of the famous cartoon. The new game,Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time, will be released on all consoles, and it looks like an excellent way to experience some nostalgia while hacking and slashing through enemies. The game itself won’t be too much of an investment in terms of memory either, at least not for the Nintendo Switch.
Samurai Jack first premiered on Cartoon Network in 2001, bringing a striking visual aesthetic and plenty of action. The following seasons continued the shows signature style before it came to an end in 2004. However, it was revived in 2017 by Adult Swim to overwhelming critical acclaim. This Samurai Jack game won’t be the firstadaption of an Adult Swim show, but it certainly looks like one of the best efforts.

The Switch port ofSamurai Jack: Battle Through Timeis 3.8 Gb which is very small compared to a major title and is being sold at a low price of $39.99. With that in mind should be noted that the game does not look to be a huge open-world game, the likes of which are usually responsible fortaking up the majority of a consoles memory with their file size. Instead this looks like a short but sweet trip down memory lane. It will be interesting to see how loyal the new game is to the original material and whether it can introduce people to the compelling story of Samurai Jack.
HowSamurai Jack: Battle Through Timehandles the iconic seriesremains to be seen, but expectation will be high after the success of the franchises latest revival. The game has had its narrative handled by season 5 writer Darrick Bachman and with that in mind, it should deliver another compelling story for players. While it may not be a major title, the news of a new iteration of Samurai jack has excited fans.
There have beenplenty of cartoon and video-game crossovers beforeand there have been some mixed results. Many will hope that this new title can deliver on its promise. If Samurai Jack: Battle Through Tome manages to deliver a quality experience, there will be plenty of fans who won’t mind sparing 3.8 Gb of space to enjoy some revitalised nostalgia.
