By now, the gaming world has seen more than its fair share ofSkyrim. WithThe Elder Scrolls 6still nowhere in sight, fans are left shrugging their shoulders, wondering when the next entry will finally make an appearance. That doesn’t mean that people have moved on from Bethesda’s 2011 epic just yet. There are still so many ways to inject new life into the game, which usually comes in the form of mods. It’s even possible to mod it to the point where it’s almost like a different game entirely.

That’s what Reddit user jackfjdah1 has been doing, recently uploading a short video from theirSkyrimplaythrough that shows a rather odd thing, something that doesn’t belong in the world of Tamriel. Basically, the game has been modded to include a cowboy type character who’s holding a rifle, not too dissimilar from the likes ofRed Dead Redemption 2. The gun works as well, which can be seen as the player moves in on someSkyrimbandits and begins taking them down as battle music plays, which sounds like Woody Jackson’s “American Venom” that was featured in Rockstar’s wild west sequel.

The Elder Scrolls 5andRed Dead Redemption 2are among thehighest grossing video games of the last decade, selling tens of millions each. Given that, it’s not surprising that modders would be interested in mixing the two together. Both have in-depth lore and huge open worlds for the player to explore, and it will be interesting to know whether anyone out there has done the opposite and added the Dragonborn intoRDR2’s interpretation of the US at the turn of the last century.

Skyrimplayers seem to enjoy turning the game into something else, and even if not trying to transform it into a different franchise, there are mods out there that change the way the vanilla epic RPG plays in other ways. For example, there’s an add-on that rebuilds the city of Helgen, which is destroyed at the start of the game, as well as one that makesSkyrimmore realistic by adding the need for players to eat, drink, and sleep.

Skyrimmods can become quite ridiculous, but they are keeping many fans entertained while they wait for the next installment in the series. It’s been more than ten years since this entry was released, so it seems as though the community is just eking out as much play time as possible, and if that means blending it with another game, so be it.
