TheSkyrimCreation Club adds lots of ways to customize one’s character through a variety of new armor and clothing choices. Among them is the Netch Leather Armor creation, which gives one of the most interesting and unique-looking armors fromMorrowinda much-requested facelift forSkyrimplayers.

Netch Leather Armor is a Dark Elf specialty and comes in two variants, the regular shades of brown and tan or the Shadowed version with much darker coloration. While Netch Leather exists and can be collected inSkyrim, specifically in theDragonbornDLC for use in Bonemold and Chitin Armor, it can’t be crafted into Netch Leather Armor unless theplayer has this Creation installed.
What Is Netch Leather Armor?
Netch Leather Armor is, as the name suggests,a type of Light Armormade from the leathery skin of Netches. If you haven’t playedMorrowindyou might have no idea what a Netch actually is. These tentacle-laden jellyfish-like creatures can be found in Solstheim, calmly humming and whirring their wayfloating across the landscape. They aren’t hostile, though they will turn aggressive if provoked.
Netches are an iconic creature in Vvardenfell (and throughout Morrowind, to a lesser extent) and can often be seen traveling in small groups. They are a kind of farm animal like a Cow for the Dunmer, who raise them for their jelly, unique meat, and of course their tough Leather.
How To Get Netch Leather Armor
To gain the ability tocraft Netch Leather Armor, players must completethe quest “More Than You Can Chew”, which starts after reading the book"Peddler’s Journal" just north of Skaal Village– look for the body of a Dark Elf to find the journal. Thequestline branches in multiple directionsbut ends up with the player being given a key to a chest containing a set of Netch Leather Armor and the book “Crafting With Netch Leather.”

Tanned Netch Leather is gained at a 1:1 ratio when using Netch Leather at a tanning station. Tocraft the Shadowed versionsofeach of these pieces of armorensure you have Charcoalavailable, as each piece of Shadowed Netch Leather Armor needs one in addition to the normal crafting materials to be recolored. Additionally, a full set ofNetch Leather Armor can be found in Fort Hraggstadas well as the uniqueBoots of Blinding Speed, which increases Speed by 100 when worn.
