At this point,Elden Ring’s reputation for revealing almost new information in the span of nearly two years far outweighs the pedigree of those crafting it.Elden Ringhas become meme fodderof the highest sort, creating an entire Reddit community that comes together to vent about how little information there is about the game. Of course, some players have taken their frustration a step further.

Over on Nexus Mods, a website dedicated to hosting mods for some of the most prominent games on PC, a newSkyrimmod has appeared simply dubbed “Elden Ring.” Of course, this isn’t aSkyrimconversion modas some might be expecting. The mod, quite literally, adds an “Elden Ring " to the game, hidden in one of the pools near Dragonsreach, according to the mod’s description. Visually, the ring itself is basic, boasting the look of the standard Golden Ring found inSkyrimproper. The description kicks off with the iconic words from theElden Ringreveal trailer, informing travelers about the edge of the map, and all the rest that fans have come to know.

Of course, this isn’t all that practical of a mod, just something forElden Ringenthusiasts to revel in while they wait for something official about the game to be revealed. It’s been a long time since fans have heard anything, and their impatience for more news has continued to mature in hilarious ways, which seems to be the common thread keeping the communities that have formed aroundElden Ringgoing.

These inside jokes shared within the community have steadily become more elaborate. At first,Elden Ringfanswere making their own “leaks” as a way to pass the time and speculate on what would be coming next. In the time since, these have become as elaborate as deep fakes putting Game Director Hidetaka Miyazaki in the role of Terminator. Where the community will take things next is still a pretty big question mark.

Hopefully, fans will get more news soon. Waiting for games to release is never fun, but going significant amounts of times with nothing new can be excruciating to deal with. It’s clear that the state of the world is impacting development, but one can dream that more news will be revealed in an upcoming event.
