Summary
A creativeThe Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrimplayer has recently managed to turn the whole Dawnguard into vampires.Playing as a vampire inSkyrimcan often be quite a fun experience, but this player took the bloodsucker’s roleplay to the next level by creating a whole order of vampire hunters made up of vampires.
Skyrim’sDawnguardDLCwas the first major expansion to the game, and it was originally released in 2012. While vampires existed inSkyrimbefore, the DLC marked the first time that they were prominently featured. The story of the expansion revolved around the ancient Dawnguard, an organization of vampire hunters, and it added 39 quests to the game, as well as two major factions: the Dawnguard itself, and the Vokihar Vampire Clan.

ASkyrimgamer called Shomairays has recently turned every single Dawnguard member into a vampire. They installed twopopular vampire mods forSkyrim: “Sacrosanct” and “Dawnguard as a Vampire,” and then turned all of the Dawnguard members into creatures of the night as they slept. The combination of mods was necessary to pull off this feat. “Sacrosanct” is a popular mod that overhauls the gameplay for vampires, giving them new abilities. “Dawnguard as a Vampire,” on the other hand, allows the player to not be immediately expelled from the Vampire-hunting organization when they are turned, which gave Shomairays access to all of the members to pull this funny stunt.
Shomairays’s feat was pretty popular with the community, achieving over 1,300 upvotes on Reddit, and prompting other users to give this plan a shot. To add to the irony of the situation, twoSkyrimfans called Bearsheperd and Siophecles discussed the Dawnguard’s lore, affirming that there are legends surrounding the original Dawnguard becoming vampires themselves as they were seduced by the power they gained. However, the game itself is not 100% clear on which legends were the truth.
Players who are interested in delving deeper intoThe Elder Scrolls 5’s vampire-related content can try out several mods, including therecent “Bloodhunt” mod forSkyrim. This mod restores some of the cut content that did not appear inDawnguard’s final version, such as an ability called Vampiric Strength, which boosts unarmed damage when being a vampire. Also, it diminishes some of the harshness of sunlight damage, allowing the bloodsuckers to remain unprotected from the sun up to 6 AM. The mod even restores some of the vampiric powers that were nerfed whenDawnguardwas released, so it looks pretty good for people eager to roleplay a powerful vampire.
The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim - Anniversary Editionis available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
