Summary
The Mandalorianintroduced audiences to Din Djarin, the titular character from the very first live-actionStar Warsshow, who many refer to as “Mando” or the Mandalorian. Whilst his dedication to The Ways of Mandalore is admirable, orbantha fodder to Boba Fett, it’s the personality that shines out of that chrome bucket from the bestStar Warsquotes in the galaxy far, far away.
The Mandalorian proves that he doesn’t need to show his face to express his emotions or have someone mishear his dialogue. Din Djarin holds some great quotes across his appearances, and with The Mandalorian Season 4 on the horizon, his story and his quotes are certainly not over yet.

Season 1, Episode 3 – Chapter 3: The Sin
Perhaps the most iconic quote inStar Warssince “May the Force be with you”, The Way involves the Mandalorians and their dedication to their creed, in which weapons are part of their religion, their numbers are scattered across the stars, and they must never take off their helmet in the presence of organic life. “This is the Way” is a creed to live by, and it echoes to all Mandalorians who hear it, and repeat it with pride.
The Mandalorian often says this phrase, either toother Mandalorians, or to others who doubt him, as Din Djarin often proves his dedication to the Way through his actions and cunning. Still a proud Mandalorian foundling, it seems Din Djarin will always believe in the Way.
5"Wherever I Go, He Goes."
Season 2, Episode 1 – Chapter 9: The Marshal
This phrase has been heard numerous times when one asks about the strange baby that is always seen with Din Djarin, little does everyone know, that this child means everything to Din Djarin, whosees the child as his own flesh and blood, his son. The fact that Din Djarin is so attached to Grogu shows how audiences are as well, as the internet was quick to dub this character “Baby Yoda” for his adorable appearance alone.
Since then, it seems that Grogu and Din Djarin are inseparable, and after 3 seasons, it still rings true that wherever Din Djarin goes, Grogu also goes. They are a duo, and their stories seem entwined, even if some would have preferred them separate so Mando could have his solo adventures and Grogu could train with Luke Skywalker.
4"I Can Bring You In Warm, Or I Can Bring You In Cold."
Season 1, Episode 1 – Chapter 1: The Mandalorian
Din Djarin made an iconic entrance within his very first scene for the show. Even one of his first lines brings chills for just how cool and calculated he sounds, proving that he’s there for his bounty target, uncaring whether the target ends up dead or alive since it doesn’t matter either way – he’s found his target, and they’re coming back in a body bag or in carbonite.
It’s a shame that audiences don’t get to see much of Din Djarin asa bounty hunteranymore, but with Season 4 showcasing Din Djarin as a tracker and hunter of remnants of the Empire, hopefully, this line will be heard again in all its glory from Pedro Pascal.
3"What Means More To Me Is Honor. And Loyalty. And Character."
Season 3, Episode 7 – Chapter 23: The Spies
In a conversation with Bo Katan, Din Djarin reveals the motivations that guide him to help his allies. He tells Bo of the qualities that he seeks in a person, and all of these words help inspire Bo Katan to continue the fight, even when she questions if the desolate landscape of their home of Mandalore is even worth it anymore.
The quote itself confirms what audiences already knew about Din Djarin, which is his kind heart. The fact that Din Djarin places these three things of honor, loyalty, and character above all else, just shows how grand of an ally he is to those deserving, even withoutthe darksaber.
2"I Like Those Odds."
Even without a full suit of beskar steel, Din Djarin doesn’t fear death when the odds are stacked against him. In the very first episode, Mando encounters some remnants of the Empire with worn Imperial Stormtroopers, and he is quick to turn his guns onto them. Even outnumbered 4 to 1, Din Djarin still thinks it’s an easy fight, which isn’t surprising considering the lackluster aim of a Stormtrooper.
Despite the bad aim of a Stormtrooper, Din Djarin is a skilled marksman, a true gunslinger in a galaxy far, far away that could easily beat those odds. The line is also rather reminiscent of Han Solo, who said something similar when C-3PO told him the odds of navigating an asteroid field.

Season 2, Episode 7 – Chapter 15: The Believer
The relationship between Grogu and Din Djarin is one of the most respectable parts ofThe Mandalorianand one of the best relationships in all ofStar Wars.When Moff Gideon and his Empire forcessteal Grogu, Din Djarin enlists the help of his allies to save him and even sends Moff Gideon a holographic message on his Star Destroyer vessel, which reads as an ominous warning.
Din Djarin repeats a similar speech that Moff Gideon uttered to Din Djarin inThe MandalorianSeason 1 finale, except this time, Grogu is not an asset, but a son, indicated by the line “he means more to me than you will ever know”. This is someone Din Djarin will die for; can Moff Gideon say the same?
