A memorable enemy fromFallen Orderhas apparently returned forStar Wars Jedi: Survivor, at least according to eagle-eyed fans who watched yesterday’s storytrailer. After a nearly four-year-long wait, the sequel to Respawn’s surprise hitStar Warsgame is finally launching next month. More information aboutStar Wars Jedi: Survivor’splot was revealed in a recent story trailer, with players getting confirmation that the fan-favorite Nightsister Merrin will return to aid Cal Kestis as he tries to evade the sinister Galactic Empire.

Not everyone Cal meets inStar Wars Jedi: Survivorwill be as welcoming as Merrin, though, as many of the game’s pre-launch trailers have highlighted the many new enemies players will have to face.A pair of bounty huntersseem to give Cal and his faithful droid BD-1 trouble on the new planet of Koboh, and an elderly Imperial Senator seems to have his own dark plans for the former Jedi Padawan from the shadows. Lastly, there’s the mysterious being Cal appears to release from a bacta tank, who seems to be a former Jedi bitter about how his order has been overrun by the Empire in his absence.

Now, fans have started to notice yet another dangerous opponent that couldchallenge Cal inStar Wars Jedi: Survivor, but this one is a familiar face to those who played through his first adventure. Reddit user thisislawliet posted a screenshot of this week’sJedi: Survivorstory trailer, one that shows a glimpse of the Ninth Sister. Born Masana Tide, the Ninth Sister is a Dowutin Imperial Inquisitor who hunted Cal and his friends inJedi: Fallen Order. This hunt led her to the Wookie homeworld of Kashyyyk, where she seemingly fell to her death after a duel with Cal atop the sacred Origin Tree.

Of course, theNinth Sister’s body was never shown inFallen Order, and her death was never officially confirmed in any otherStar Warsmedia. Cal did manage to sever her right hand, but plenty of otherStar Warscharacters have suffered such an injury and lived to tell of it. Other Reddit users in the comment section of thisislawliet’s post have since playfully compared the Ninth Sister to other seemingly unkillable dark side users from pastStar Warsgames, such as the undead Darth Scion fromStar Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2and the cyborg Dark Jedi Maw fromStar Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2.

Sure enough, powerfulStar WarsSith Lordslike Darth Maul and Emperor Palpatine have become infamous for surviving certain death in thefilms and other media, and now it looks like the Ninth Sister has joined their ranks by returning inStar Wars Jedi: Survivor. This hulking Inquisitor was challenging enough for Cal inFallen Order, and now it seems that she’s back with a score to settle in his latest gaming adventure.
