Summary
Starfieldis the latest Bethesda Games Studios game to release, as well as being an all-new IP from the developing studio. Like any good RPG, character customization is a vital part of the process. During this moment of the game, a player is able to create their space explorer, but this customization goes deeper than simply deciding on the player’s looks.
Players are able to choose three traits for their character that will allow them to interact with the world differently than they would usually. While some traits can’t overlap, others can make for some interesting combinations, especially forrole-play purposes. These are the best trait combos a player should try on their next new playthrough ofStarfield.

8No Space Please (Introvert & Terra Firma)
In a game that takes place among the stars, it’s intriguing thatBethesda has given playersthe possible traits to make being out in space the worst experience for a player ever. Selecting the trait Terra Firma means the player’s character has never acclimated to space; this means whenever they find themselves exploring the dark crevices of space, their health and oxygen are decreased.
Thankfully, this does mean when the player finds themselves on the surface of a planet, these stats are instead increased. Combining this with Introvert is also quite humorous as these players may not want to go out in space, but they certainly want space from others. Thankfully, VASCO doesn’t count.

7The True Hero (Extrovert, Hero Worshiped, United Colonies Native)
As the main character of an RPG, many players will want to be the hero, and many traits in Starfield allow players to already have this past written for them. The United Colonies Native perk means players will call the main city the player to likely visit their home; this unlocks further dialogue options and possibly even better rewards when helping those people. Players are free to choose a different Native trait instead if they wish to be the hero of a different faction.
Hero Worshiped speaks for itself as it gives the playertheir own adoring fan. He might be a little annoying, but at least it shows the player that at least somebody cares for them. Extrovert finally allows players to be a people person, as having human companions will benefit them greatly, such as the adoring fan that loves them so much.

6Peaceful Living (Dream Home, Raised Universal & Terra Firma)
Similar to No Space Please, these players have neverstepped foot into spaceor simply aren’t acclimatized to it like others are. They haven’t allowed this to ruin their living among the stars as they have opted for a peaceful life. At some point in their past, they decided to bite the bullet and purchase their dream home, though the present-day player is now forced to pay off the mortgage.
As a person who has also been brought up among the religious beliefs of the Universal. These players are also likely to show great respect to others as they wish to help folks while also having a whole chest of special items just for them stored in the Sanctum Universum in New Atlantis.

5Not A Good Kid (Kid Stuff & Wanted)
Not every player can visit their parents in Starfield, but those with the Kid Stuff trait can visit them whenever they wish. While it’s great to be able to say hello occasionally, the player is also expected to fork over money weekly to keep their parents afloat. How this money is obtained might be quite nefarious.
Having the Wanted trait means the player is likely to encounter armed mercenaries that have arrivedto earn a bountythat has been placed on the player’s head. It might be dangerous to visit the player’s parents, or perhaps the player isn’t what their parents thought they were. Either way, they are not a good kid.

4A People Person (Empath & Extrovert)
While some dialogue in the RPGs created by Bethesda can be a little entertaining, these titles still have some of the mostinteresting companionsand NPCs; this is no different forStarfield. Combining the traits of Empath and Extrovert means players must always be surrounded by human companions.
Empath means a player will form bonds with their companions much easier. When doing something they approve of, this will increase their approval further. However, this can also have the opposite effect. Meanwhile, Extrovert means when being followed by a human companion, the player will use less oxygen when adventuring.

3A Wanted Experiment (Alien DNA, Neon Street Rat & Wanted)
Players don’t need to be doing bad things to justify why they might be a wanted person; they could even create their own fascinating backstory as to why there are always mercenaries chasing after them. One great example is being a wanted experiment.
Since being a Neon Street Rat who grew up poor on the streets of the cityknown as Neon, money has always been hard to come by. After seeing that volunteers were wanted for a new experiment, the player now has Alien DNA; escaping from these experiments means the player is now wanted. With players now having increased health and oxygen from their Alien DNA, the player has some interesting traits as well as a fun story to role-play.

2Everyone Wants A Piece (Dream Home, Kid Stuff & Hero Worshiped)
Starfield cannot get enough of this player when using these traits. Everyone wants to know them or get something from them,which means creditsmay be running short all the time. Somehow, the player has become quite popular, and now they have a lot of credit issues.
Every week, the player is expected to not only give GalBank their weekly amount of credits for the Dream House the player has bought but also 2% of the credits the player has is also sent home to their parents. If this wasn’t already terrible, there is now even an adoring fan that simply won’t leave the player alone.

1Space Is Great (Serpent’s Embrace, Spaced & Taskmaster)
This is quite the opposite playstyle to No Space Please, as this player’s character will thrive when traveling across the various galaxies. Spaced is the opposite trait of Terra Firma, which means they can’t be used at the same time; this is because Spaced increases the player’s health and oxygen while in space but decreases while on the surface.
Combining this with the trait known as the Serpent’s Embrace will also provide a temporary boost to the player’s health and oxygen if they are regularlyjumping between galaxies. Finally, Taskmaster will also allow the player’s ship –the vehicle the player is using to travel space– to occasionally be repaired if the crew member is trained in that ship system; this does make crew cost more.
