On April 20, theStreet Fighter 6Showcase aired, giving fans a better look of the game and its three primary game modes: World Tour, Battle Hub, and Fighting Ground. Battle Hub is the center for online battles, while Fighting Ground is a collective of all casual fighting modes such as 1v1 fights, practice, and the returning Arcade Mode. However, World Tour seems to be the big talk of the game, as it’s a whole new mode in theStreet Fighterseries that introduces an RPG story where players travel around the world ofStreet Fighter 6to become the strongest.
What makes World Tour so special is not only the RPG aspect, but it’s the first game mode in theStreet Fighterseries where players can create their own fighters.Street Fighter 6brings in the Avatar Creator, where players create their own characters to not only roam the streets in World Tour, but also tobrawl against other players' OCs in Battle Hub.Street Fighter 6’s Avatar Creator seems to take inspiration from RPG character creators likeElden Ring’s, as there are many different options for players to customize, promoting creativity in designing their fighters.
