The Boyscontinues to reveal more and more details about Homelander’s upcoming trial in season 4 for murdering a Starlight supporter through its latest video with Vought International broadcast journalist Cameron Coleman.

Vought International released a videoof Coleman giving his thoughts onThe Boys' situation, believing that Homelander’s actions were that of a father defending his son from a malicious Starlight terrorist. He also argued that it was on society to set Homelander free, which has the new hashtag, #HomeFree, to symbolize the public’s support for Homelander.

Vought International’s Cameron Coleman expressed his disgust at the situation and his support for Homelander on the company’s “official” Twitter account. “I’ll tell you. In all my years as a journalist, I have never, and I mean never, had to report on anything so shamelessly fake. I mean, he was protecting his son from a malicious attacker. One of those Starlighter thugs. And you want to blame him for defending himself? Are we still living in America? Unbelievable,” he said. “So now, it’s our patriotic duty to help him stay #HomeFree. And you’re able to believe that VNN will be following this story nonstop with hard-hitting, totally unbiased coverage of this ridiculous witch hunt. It’s the least we can do for our greatest hero.”

The understated irony is that Homelander has killed God knows how many people since becoming a superhero and public figure. Or worse yet, he’s allowed many people to die because of his actions. The difference with what happened duringThe Boysseason 3’s last sceneis that the Starlight supporter wasn’t as much of a threat as he was an annoyance. He didn’t even hurt Ryan, knowing that he’s Homelander’s kin and all that concept implies. Of course, he went too far hurling an object at a kid, but that doesn’t warrant murder.

So all indications are that this is whereThe Boysis going in season 4.Homelander will be tried for murderbecause of his actions against the Starlight supporter. And that may only be the beginning of Homelander’s public downfall seeing how Starlight also got him to confess that he murdered SuperSonic just to send her a message that he would kill Hughie if she did not abide by his demands. This points to Homelander hitting his breaking point, where he no longer cares what the public thinks.

Also, why would being on trial for murder affect Homelander? He’s the most powerful being on earth with no limitations outside of his starvation for attention. Even if he’s found guilty, what does that accomplish? He’ll laugh it off and kill anyone and everyone he wants, knowing he’ll still have his supporters. The clock is ticking for our supe exterminators to eliminateHomelander as a threat. Now that he’s being tried, that may only make him more unstable.
