With a Decemberrelease date set forThe Callisto Protocol, there are a few months for the team at Striking Distance Studios to build some more hype for the title and show off things gamers haven’t seen yet. At this year’s Gamescom, it seems thatThe Callisto Protocolwill have plenty for fans to watch, as host Geoff Keighley has revealed that the horror title will be at the event later this month.

Keighley announcedThe Callisto Protocol’sappearance over on his Twitter account, where he often shares sneak previews at what fans can expect at upcoming gaming events. According to Keighley, not only willThe Callisto Protocolbe showing off brand-new gameplay at Gamescom, but Glen Schofield will also be making an appearance. Schofield will be joining Keighley live on stage, which meansThe Callisto Protocolwill be shown during theGamescom Opening Night Livestream on August 23.
Geoff Keighley has done a good job of hyping upThe Callisto Protocol’slatest lot of gameplay footage, as he has stated he’s already seen a sneak peek at the new demo, and has stated it is “a step beyond” the footage previously shown at Summer Game Fest. There isn’t much more about the upcoming gameplay for fans to discover via Keighley’s tweet, but many are expecting some more of the story and the brutal action thatThe Callisto Protocolhas quickly become associated with.
Already fans knew that they’d be seeingThe Callisto Protocolat Gamescom due to Striking Distance Studios' parent company Krafton confirming that it would be appearing alongside anew IP from theSubnauticadevelopers. However, now gamers know thatThe Callisto Protocolwill be a main feature at Geoff Keighley’s Opening Night Live event, showing off new gameplay that could be enough to sway those still undecided whether they’ll be picking up this promising survival-horror title.
