The Last of Us 2has been out for a few months now, and players are still getting enjoyment out of the hit game. Now that some of thecontroversy around Joel, Ellie, and Abbyhas died down, many are enjoying their next playthrough of the game, and Naughty Dog is continuing to roll out patches to enhance player experience.

Naughty Dog announced that a new update would be rolling out forThe Last of Us 2starting from today. This will be update version 1.07 for the game but is fairly minor in comparison to past updates. No details were given by Naughty Dog apart from the patch targeting ‘minor bug fixes and improvements,’ but this is good news for players because at least the update should be small in size and hassle free.
The Last of Us 2has been known to have some glitches such as companion AI getting stuck or infinite falling bugs which are frustrating for gameplay, so it’s comforting to know the studio is working on fixes. These issues are also to be expected with such an intricate game. Some of the aspects ofThe Last of Us 2are so detailed to the point that Ellie will notice when she is walking through rain or a character will react when they are looking in a mirror.The Last of Us 2is also the biggest gamethat Naughty Dog has worked on, and it is likely more patches will be coming down the line for some time into the future.
Theprevious update forThe Last of Us 2brought sizeable new features including Grounded mode, Permadeath and cheats. This brought a whole new level of challenge for players with extra difficult and only one life for the entirety of the game. The patch also implemented extra trophy achievements and even unlocked a new menu screening for those who completedThe Last of Us 2with these new settings. The update also introduced gameplay modifiers forThe Last of Us 2which changed the game’s visual design and allowed new graphic style’s such as 8-bit or inverse color filters.
The Last of Us 2is available now exclusively on PS4.
