For the comparison photos, Naughty Dog used scenes ofEllie and Joel, the protagonists of the originalLast of Usgame. The improvements are obvious right away, with the new versions of Ellie and Joel far more detailed and realistic-looking than their 2014 counterparts. These visual improvements seem to extend to all facets ofThe Last of Uson PS5, so it should be exciting for fans to get their hands on the game later this year.

The PC version ofThe Last of Us Part 1did not get a release date announcement just yet, but we do know that it will be launching at some point after the PS5 version. Notably, it was confirmed that astandaloneLast of Usmultiplayer game set in San Franciscois going to launch at some point next year, so fans of the franchise have to look forward to.
Not only that, but it was also confirmed that Ashley Johnson and Troy Baker, who play Ellie and Joel in the games, will have parts on the upcomingLast of UsTV series on HBO. More on the TV show, including its premiere date, should come in the relatively near future.
