Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part Onestar Pom Klementieff revealed the one thing that Tom Cruise, famous for doing his own stunts to critical acclaim, absolutely refused to do on the set.

Mission: Impossiblechronicles the high-stakes adventures of Ethan Hunt and his Impossible Missions Force field team as they take on existential threats to international peace and security with the world’s fate on the line. Widely regarded as one of the best examples within the genre, theMission: Impossiblefranchise is well known for its plotsbeing subordinate and secondary to the action, generally to critical acclaim. After six films full of ensemble casts and top-of-the-line stunts, the film series looks to end with a final two-part installment.

In a recent interview withEntertainment Weeklyabout the upcoming movie, Klementieff revealed that Cruise refused to help her while choreographing a fight scene between their two characters in Venice, despite her asking. “I kept telling him to just kick me here,” the actress said, indicating her torso. “I was squeezing abs. I said, ‘You can just go for it.’ He was like, ‘No, no, no, no, no.’ I was like, ‘But it’s going to help me!’ But he wouldn’t do it.”

With aMission: Impossibleeditor promising historic stunts inDead Reckoning, fans are excited to see what Klementieff’s character will bring to the big screen. The actress describes her portrayal of Paris as “very, very, very much a chaotic element in the story. It doesn’t matter how deep in the background she is; you’re going to be watching her at all times and wondering what she’s going to do." Klementieff further describes Paris as someone who “destroys everything in her path. She’s a rebel; she’s a killer, she’s extremely skilled and quite lonely too.”

Paris was named in honor of Leonard Nimoy’s character in the originalMission: ImpossibleTV show, which was a pretty solid choice for Klementieff. “When Christopher McQuarrie cast me for the role, he didn’t know which name the character would have,” the actress recalls. “It was cool to name me Paris, me being from France, and then they decided that I would speak French because I speak French in real life.” She joins other big names on the characteristically stacked roster, with even more actors likeMindhunter’sHolt McCallany lined up forMission: Impossible Dead Reckoning Part 2.

All indicators seem to point toDead Reckoningbecoming another smash hit for the franchise, with the ensemble cast being one part of what promises to be an amazing close to Ethan Hunt’s high-risk, high-octane missions to save the world. Fortunately for fans of the film series, this likely won’t be the last we see ofMission: Impossible, with the seventh film’s director confirming theMission: Impossiblefranchise will end when fans decidethey are no longer interested.
