Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2has been a hit with critics and fans alike. The remake has managed to overcome previous iterations that damaged the franchise andTony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2has earned critical acclaimas a result. Despite its popularity, the game can still be difficult and one of the most frustrating levels in the game is Downhill Jam. Fortunately, by looking in the right locations players can tick some challenges of their list.

Downhill Jam, as the name suggests, places players on a slope and because of this, it adds an extra layer of difficulty in terms of controlling skaters. Undoubtedly this is one of thehardest levels inTony Hawk’s Pro Skater, but it can be mastered by using the right route. The five water valve locations can be missed by players but once they are found they can provide good trick lines as well as an easy challenge. With that said, players will have to master controlling their skaters to do the challenge effectively.

When players begin the level they need to ramp up the jump on their immediate right and grind either of the two parallel bars, when they reach the end the first valve can be ground off. Players then need to avoid the temptation of a ramp that leads on two rails and another which faces left. Bypassing these jumps will allow a player to see the third ramp with a valve on it then can be simply ridden over. This is possibly the easiest valve to miss but if players remember to carve right after the second ramp it will be clear. Players then need to stick left on the challengingTony Hawk’s Pro Skatermap to get the next water valve.

THPS valve

Players need to follow the route left and up the slow ramp which has a pipe at the end which crosses the large half-pipe, by grinding across players will hit the third valve. This will cause water to explode out of the half-pipe. The skaters then need to then follow the hill down as centrally as possible and go down a deep ramp which will elevate them up to a valve if they jump at the right time. Practiced players should be able to land this jump because of thephysics inTony Hawk’s Pro Skaternot making too much sense. After this, players need to stick left again.

Finally, there will be a downhill route to the left before players hit the water, when going down players will need to wall grind to hit the valve. This is a tricky target because of the downward trajectory but players should be able to get it after a couple of attempts. Once players have done all of this, they will have completed the challenge and should be on their way tounlocking skatersas they continue to progress.
