Though it was on a hiatus for the pandemic era, TwitchCon returned in 2022 in Amsterdam for the EuropeanTwitchcontent creators and San Diego for the American ones, but this is changing with the 2023 cities.Twitch has taken to various social media channels to confirm the cities and dates for the two TwitchCon events in 2023, with both spread out far enough apart that streamers could possibly attend both. While there are many antics thatpopular Twitch streamerscan get up to at TwitchCon, they often collaborate with other creators during the event and sometimes hold meet-ups with fans in the area around the same time. Because of these potential opportunities, many Twitch streamers anticipate the announcement of TwitchCon dates, and now they may begin their planning around the event.RELATED:Pokimane Expresses Frustration as Instagram Takes Down Her PostTwitch recently confirmed with a tweet that TwitchCon 2023 will take place in Paris, France on July 8 and 9, and in Las Vegas between October 20 and 22. Although TwitchCon hasn’t been held in Las Vegas and the city has only received aTwitch Rivals eventin the past, TwitchCon 2023 is the first time that the show has ever come to France as a whole, and it will be at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. Like with most other years for TwitchCon, the Las Vegas show will be at the city convention center which can house more people than most other venues in the area that regularly draws tourists from around the world.
Other European cities that TwitchCon has been held in include Berlin and Amsterdam, while the American version of the annual tradition is often in California, hopping around from San Francisco to San Diego. Because there are other big livestreamer events for content creators to attend over the yearlike QTCinderella’s Streamer Awards, the Streamy Awards, and Twitch Rivals, fans of the more successful stars may see them hop around from one location to another as they record many of their experiences along the way. There have been some controversial moments of TwitchCon events in the past like last year’s foam pit resulting in Adriana Chechick’s back injury and Amouranth’s stalker issue, so TwitchCon 2023 could result in a few problems as well.
Given that the TwitchCon 2023 tweet has garnered over 1.3 million views within its first few hours, it’s likely that the event will be as busy as ever. Some popular streamerslike Twitch’s Amouranthhave been kicked out of TwitchCon’s in the past which means that some of these attendees may not be around the whole time.
