EA Sports FC 24Ultimate Team, or as it was formerly known,FIFA, is booming with new cards and players for gamers to use to try and score goals and win games. In the early years of the game mode, there were only In Form Cards, Man of the Matches, and Team of the Seasons, but in the modern era,there are several different types of cards.
With the amount of cards to choose from, some are very expensive, so the casual player will not be able to pick up those Kylian Mbappe’s or Erling Haaland’s. There are some cards that are cheaper and criminally underrated in the game, here are some of those for each position in the game.
11GK - Lucas Chevalier (Inform)
Price: 25,000 coins
There are alot of good goalkeepersin Ultimate Team, Alisson, Jan Oblak, and Petr Cech but an underrated pick is Lucas Chevalier. The French shot-stopper plays for LOSC Lille in Ligue 1, so there are plenty of links to explore here with the league littered with French talents.
Standing at 6'2" (189cm) tall, he is no slouch and will take up the net with ease, denying opposition strikers any chance at goal. His best stats are his 89 diving and 88 reflexes, exactly what gamers need in a quality goalkeeper. Costing just 25,000 coins, Chevalier is a steal and if he fits in the player’s team then he will be a valued asset.
10RB - Jonathan Clauss (RTTK)
Price: 29,000 coins
Speed is the game when it comes to fullbacks, gamers need their flanks to be filled with pacey players who can get up and down and cause threats at both ends of the pitch, and they have that in Jonathan Clauss.
The Olympique Marseille right-back has strong links in Ligue 1 and complete with his 92 pace he will be a nightmare for opposition left-wingers. He has four playstyles that Ultimate Team users can utilize in their gameplay; Whipped Pass, Anticipate, Relentless, and Long Throw. For a measly 29,000 coins, Clauss is a bargain and is criminally underused, although he does have a higher-rated 88 version, this 87 item is very underrated for a much cheaper price but with similar stats.
9CB - Edmond Tapsoba (Winter Wildcards)
Price: 25,500 coins
Priced at just 25,500 coins, the Burkina Faso Bayer 04 Leverkusen center-back may not have strong nation links but has great linksin the German Bundesliga. Tapsoba has high defensive stats, but uniquely for a central defender, he has 99 dribbling which will come in handy when trying to play out from the back.
With the playstyle+ of Brusier and regular playstyles, Power Header, Long Ball Pass, and Block, Tapsoba is a rock at the back and let’s not forget to mention he is 6'4". Aside from his stupidly high dribbling stats, his best attributes are 87 standing tackle, 86 strength, and 86 jumping.
8CB - Mohamed Simakan (FC Pro)
Price: 42,500 coins
The French defender is a perfect modern center-back, tall, quick, and a good ball passer. Mohamed Simakan applies his trade for RB Leipzig in the German Bundesliga, a league filled with a lot of amazing players who will offer decent links in order to build a cohesive squad.
This card will cost around 40k and is also capable of playing at right back and left back so he can fill in whether gamers prefer. The Slide Tackle playstyle+ will ensure that he always wins his battles at the back and players can count on him to put in a last-ditch tackle. Some centre-backs are pricey but Simakan is a bang for the back.
7LB - Alex Grimaldo (Inform)
Price: 55,000 coins
In real life, Alex Grimaldo is killing it for Bayer 04 Leverkusen, operating as a left-wing back, he has chipped in with goals and assists in a high-flying team. Gamers can replace that in-game with Grimaldo’s Inform item, which makes reference to his pass and fantastic attacking stats.
Although he is at base an LM, Grimaldo can operate anywhere down the left-hand side, including LB. The Spaniard will allow for good links to Spain and in the Bundesliga.He does have good stats defensively, 84 interceptions and 83 stand tackle, so he will be solid at the back, but going forward as an attacking fullback is where he will shine.
6CDM - Ismael Bennacer (Radioactive)

If gamers were lucky enough to complete the Ismael Bennancer Radioactive SBC (Squad Building Challenge) then they will have a really solid defensive midfielder on their hands. The Algerian plays for AC Milan in the Italian Serie A, a league primed with talent. Making a squad will be a piece of cake.
However, he is not the tallest of CDMs but this isn’t a problem as he is more of a deep-lying playmaker, sweeping the ball up and playing it out to start attacks. The Tiki Taka playstyle+ helps out with this a lot as does his Incisive Pass and Pinged pass playstyles along with 88 short passing and 86 long passing. If gamers missed out on this SBC then his base item is also just as underrated inEA Sports FC 24Ultimate Team.
5CM - Kim Little (Thunderstruck)
Price: 72,000 coins
This item is a beast in the midfield, Kim Little of Arsenal in the Women’s Super League has 99 stamina, running is not an issue and she is asuperb box-to-box midfielder. She also has insane dribbling at 94. She can carry the ball from the defense to the offense with ease.
Her 93 short passing and 90 vision are key to picking out passes and, with a staggering eight playstyles, she is certainly an underrated item in the game. For a 90-rated card, around 70k is a bargain and one that gamers should work into their Ultimate Team squads.
4CAM - Branco Van Den Boomen (FC Pro)
This SBC cost just 36,250 coins to complete and it was well worth it at just one look at Van Den Boomen’s stats. 90 shooting, 93 dribbling, and 90 physical make for an overpowered midfielder and are certainly underrated in the game.
An all-around midfielder there isn’t anything that the Dutchman struggles with on the field, but he shines in the CAM position, making use of his crack-shot and eye for a pass. His first touch playstyle+ is vital for picking up balls in tight areas in the attacking third of the pitch.
3RW - Domenico Berardi (Winter Wildcards)
Price: 80,500 coins
At 80,000 coins Berardi isn’t the cheapest item, but compared to some of the more expensive right-wingers, he is certainly an underrated player. Left-footed, the Italian can cut inside on his stronger foot and put away chances with his 91 finishing stat.
A Deadball playstyle+ is really useful here as Berardi will be the man to take freekicks, corners, and penalties. His nation allowsfor strong links to the Serie A, and he is just the perfect winger if gamers are looking for someone to come inside and shoot. Other key stats are 93 aggression, 92 short passing, and 90 position. He is a must-pick-up.
2LW - Kangin Lee (Thunderstruck)
Paris Saint-Germain are a side primed with amazing players, Kylian Mbappe, Ousmane Dembele, and Randal Kolo Muani but an underrated player for the French side is the South Korean Kangin Lee.
With 90 pace and dribbling, he will be a danger down the left, breezing past defenders and delivering perfect balls into the box. He is left-footed, so he will operate as a traditional wide left midfielder, so a target man inside the area is preferred for Lee to shine.
