The best potions and leather equipment inV Risingwill require many ingredients, but one, in particular, seems to give players fits. Fish oil is a unique ingredient and resource that can be obtained in several ways, but gamers that don’t know how or where to find it likely have none on them.

Players have a choice of how to obtain Fish Oil inV Rising, but it’s probably best to do a mix of both. Grab a weapon (player choice) and a fishing rod (no bait necessary) and head out into the world. Upon returning, vampires should be set on fish oil for a while.
Getting Fish Oil
Best Farming Spot
The easiest way to get fish oil is straight away; looting it from villagers and the chests they store it in. However, killing humans randomly will net only a couple of fish oil vials. For gamers that need lots, thankfully, there is a place where drops are rather frequent.

In the Dunley Farmlands, find the Mosswick Village. It’s got lots of drops, but fish oil is on the top of the list. In this same area, expect to find a fish or two in some barrels, which can be crafted into fish oil at the castle. There is a convenient waygate to use for those who havelearned to fast travel.
Fishing And Crafting
To craft Fish Oil personally, it’s best to learn to fish. Fish can be found in various barrels in villages, but not with regularity. Craft a fishing pole from the woodworking bench in the castle, using planks, copper ingots, and coarse threads (quantities vary by server). Then go to a stream, equip the fishing pole like a weapon, and click the golden areas in the water.
When the area splashes, click the left mouse button again and reel in a catch. The catch can be anything, from trash to treasure, but most often will yield fish. Bring the fish to The Devourer (the chest with the tongue) in the castle. Move the fish over to the input area and The Devourer will automatically convert them into Fish Oil.
